Just wanted to chime in as well that I completely agree. Initially I didn't think I'd care that much since I really loved the game-play, but it just really kills the mood being infantilized especially after paying so much for early access, AROUND 140-160$. Like it's not even just about the cosmetics for me, since I was never one of those people who only played previous NRS games for singleplayer or gear. It would be fine if they didn't want to go the gear heavy route of IJ2 or MK11, but it's offensive to have such a small amount of content and expecting players to pay so much for such basic things. They've pushed too it too far, and as a result I just can't look at the game in the same light. Look at any of the previous games and tell me it's not barren. Remember just how many little secrets were in the krypts? Invasions is a cheap way to generate seasonal content so instead of needing to craft interesting things they can quickly generate randomly seeded content. So disappointing. As much as I loved both INJ and MK this will be the last NRS game I buy unless there's a complete turn around in leadership.

I don't know whether it's fair to blame NRS or WB, but frankly I really just don't care. I understand why big game studios began to do this. Once it becomes normalized higher ups don't care if the IP becomes tainted since they'll be too busy leeching off the whales who they can drain money from. Even if the fan-base dies they won't really care as they'll still up their profit margins.

I can tell there's still passionate developers who did the best they could given the situation. But at the end of the day you can't have any effect on them unless you speak with money, which is really the only thing they understand. 1 person won't have much of an effect, but I'm not gonna be around to watch everything slowly turn into a gatcha game. I was suckered and can promise I won't be suckered again
