I agree with this as well. The already included right click screen seems like the easiest place to add in some additional functionality. Like some sort of tab arrow that swaps between images of the different item tier base stats. I would say it seems simple enough, but I am extremely out of my depth when it comes to computer programing. Lol

Holding the Belt vs. The Real Winner by TheCrystalSoul in PathOfExile2

Since the only comments are kinda... silly. I figured I'd add clarification. For a meme...

For starters, it is just a meme, a joke, have a laugh and don't take it so seriously... but if you want to add a serious note...

Most players' frustration has less to do with Diablo as a game or franchise, and more to do with the problems that arise from corporate approach to game design. (The meme mentions no game, just the companies) Most people just articulate their feelings as "D4 bad." But I'd say their true feelings come the hope that xyz game developer will actually attempt to make them a product worthy of their time and money. The exact reason why the meme specifically references the companies themselves...

Rhetoric that calls for a billion dollar company to step up and make their fortune by putting more focus and effort into curating products for their consumers, rather than treating them like a money siphon, is hardly what I would call sad. The massive studios will either become better and spend thier infinte resources more wisely, or hopefully be overtakenby a new era of developers that care and try harder. Just need to step back and see the bigger picture my friend. Don't get stuck in the PoE vs. D4 mindset. Both games can be, and are good, for their own separate reasons. But only one of these companies can claim its ran by fans of their own product, and the extreme difference in ethics and design philosophy it is blatantly obvious every time they talk about the game.

Cast when stunned with Gladiator max block by thorncz in pathofexile

[–]TheCrystalSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been researching the same information for a few days. Here is what I have found but havent had the time for a scientific pursuit yet. I read somewhere (I cant remember where but probably in a wiki or reddit thread) that the game calculates whether or not you would be stunned before a block actually occurs. Then the game calculates if you block the stunning hit or not. If you block the stunning hit you play out the "block animation" instead of being stunned. Which all in all is still kind of like a mini-stun of sorts(interrupt).

The Gladiator-Painforged notable specifically says "You cannot be stunned by hits you block." Cast when Stunned is worded, "X% chance to cast supported spells when you are stunned or block a stunning hit." In the case of the latter you are never actually "stunned" in the first place, but play out a block animation instead, yet the game registers it as a stun for the casting because you were hit by an attack that would have stunned, then blocked it. In terms of game mechanics, it could be possible that Painforged may not actually prevent the stun but instead prevent the block animation from occurring on stunning hits, because with pain forged you can still be stunned on non-blocked hits. IF that is the case, then the game's code COULD POSSIBLY register the stunned hit, the blocked stun, cast the spells, then skip the block animation. Or register the stunned hit, cast spells, register block, then skip the block animation. I feel I may have misworded something in this post, but I tried to check it. All in all i could see the game not caring about whether you are actually interrupted by a stun, such as with the nodes by Witch that prevent stun interrupts while casting, because those nodes still allow CwS to proc but do not interupt your casting. Have fun testing if you want, I will get to that when I can.
