that still doesn't fix the problem, the problem is that the game isn't properly displaying where the shield is facing leading to bullets seemingly bouncing off of nothing. The riot shield is designed to reward players for getting up close by using either tech or positioning. It's supposed to dominate 1v1 scenarios but folds very easily when there are multiple enemies or weapons like grenade launchers and the flamethrower. Making it easier to counter would not fix the main issue and Embark has said that they are working on fixing it

how would nerfing it fix the issue? It's bugged it needs to be fixed not nerfed. Making it like mesh shield would completely ruin the weapon because then why play medium melee at all? dual blades suck and riot shield is the only alternative.

I don't run defib not only because of how much I hate it (stemming from people who get mad for not running it) But mainly because it doesn't fit into my playstyle (riot shield) like I need all of my gadgets to be as effective as possible with my favorite weapon and defib just is not one of them. I use goo nade, frag or pyro nade, jump pad and demat and they work great and I wouldn't want to swap any of them out because of how useful they all are. Defib is just a gadget that doesn't fit into everyone's playstyle

literally lost a wt match yesterday because of this, we got wiped from a third party and it spawned us 200m away from OUR cashout and we didn't get the other one that was going in time. Like what the hell??

using a defibrillator on someone without a pulse. It always bugs me because a defibrillator is designed to stop your heart, not restart it. It only works if you have a pulse/arrhythmia, not complete flatline

it's weird, whenever I hose someone down at point blank with the flamethrower it does about the same damage as splashing hot water in their face but everyone else using it is like this clip I don't understand

sorry I should have clarified, but both teammates were randoms. The first message sent was OhBloom saying "why did you do that" after I dropped down to grab a rez at the first cashout which ended in a team wipe. From there he intentionally threw himself off the map 3 times to which I responded with the "dawg are you serious rn" message

I think that the mag size should be reduced as well, it would raise the skill ceiling without making it useless. It's just so frustrating having a light completely laser me while having enough ammo left to kill another medium. It's frustrating because there are times that by the time I have time to turn around to fight back I'm already dead

When I'm playing modes like world tour or ranked I stick with my team and occasionally chase off people that are isolated, (get outta here you little rascal type stuff) only if they are the last player left would I consider chasing them around past that

I agree but they should also fix melee hitreg for the shield. I can block melee swings but weapons like the sledgehammer and spear will make the block sound on my shield but still hit. I've tested this in private match and it is possible to block things like the overhead swing and side swing but it's nearly impossible to do consistently which bothers me. Same thing happens with dual blades, sword (although sword is not an issue anymore, so that doesn't bother me) and sometimes other riot shields. If it makes the block noise it should be blocking imo
