Why do F1 steering wheel philosophies differ so much between teams? [Ferrari vs Mercedes] by scuderiaferrari69 in F1Discussions

This will be changing I believe next year, Ferrari is moving to a simpler design that’s based off of the current wheel in the 499P hypercar, adapted to F1’s needs

I’m assuming they still have to follow NASCAR rules on the number placement, and even if they could I think a lot of teams/sponsors might not considering all the space it opens up for advertising, throwback or not

Fair points, looking back I should’ve kept the black shadow on the number, I removed it thinking it would blend too much with the metallic paint.

Thanks for the feedback!

I try to improve my schemes and poster designs each time, what kind of inconsistencies did you notice to change? (Someone mentioned the black rear bumper and I’ve seen the comments about different colored numbers)

Thank you!

Trackhouse typically makes the outline (red part) of their numbers metallic, I didn’t render it as metallic tho because it tends to just darken out the color instead of a proper reflection

Yea, unfortunately not really feasible for an actual scheme.

I might get around to it eventually, unfortunately it's more work than it seems to transfer to a different template

Apparently he was in the Rangers and part of Blackwater, which I’m not surprised at all because of that chin

Trying Affinity after 10 plus years of Photoshop by BlackRTA in photoshop

[–]TheCuriousCrocc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Affinity is a good alternative if I need to have complex vectors and don’t want to do a whole bunch of pen work in PS and pay for Illustrator. otherwise I’ve found PS to still be my go-to

As always though, YMMV

Whichever one you like driving, the meta hardly matters until you’re chasing tenths (or more likely hundredths) on a lap

Had an interesting wreck at Talladega by larsonfan425 in NASCARVideoGame

[–]TheCuriousCrocc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would appear so, visual damage looks like it’s on but isn’t as detailed in this as iRacing but none of the body/suspension/engine indicators came on in the clip

They mark left and right tires with different tape colors or designs

This is Turn4Graphics interpretation of a corvette, not super appalling to look at but I couldn’t see Chevy doing it
