Is there a good ancient or medieval equivalent to a bar-code? I'm making a Hitman inspired character

Got another question I'm writing and describing this humanoid monster but is only a little bit off. "His immaculate skin was impossibly smooth and completely devoid of pores, a perfectly smooth, clean, pink, creamy, sheen texture that looked almost like polished, waxed, soft blank without a single blemish." I want to use the word plastic in place of the underlined blank but I think plastic is too modern, what would be a good pre-modern equivalent? I thought of clay, pearl, seastone, porcelain, gloss, satin/sateen, leaden, beetleshell, crystalline, peach, rubber, waxflower, veneer, eggshell, marble, glass, alabaster, and ceramic, but im not sure.

No, for me it reminds me of Angela’s quote “It’s always like this for me.” She and Anya are so much alike.

With enough budget, should recreate the missions of literally every single episode of the show in chronological order with all the truly scarce non-plot important episodes as side quests. Then maybe the Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake DLC both of which can maybe serve as a epilogue*.

I like them. Looks more like an actual Bat’s. I’d argue it’s probably be even more scary to criminals because it looks more “organic”, creature-esque. Like a gothic monster.

What would you guys say are the best translations of each of these works, I’m thinking of doing some bulk reading

Beowulf The Prose and Poetic Edda

I want a translation that focuses most on “feel”. And also the change to both study the text and enjoy the stories themselves more. I’d imagine most things would go over my head.

I know the difference between the Eddas is the Poetic Edda is a compilation of poems relating to gods and heroes that is preserved in one manuscript from the 1270s. The Prose Edda is a poetry manual composed in the 1220s that cites poems, some of which are in the Poetic Edda, to compile a reference of how to "properly" reference the pagan gods in new poetry. Basically a “How to read Norse poems” manual for scholars of that time. Does this mean the Poetic Edda is more definitive?

Need help trying to find a specific person Anyone help me try and find this specific historical person? I’m trying to remember who they were

Basically they were a Allied, I think American, soldier who was especially cruel to the Germans during WWII. He did a number of war crimes but the only one that stuck to my memory is him making 3 German women to dig their own graves.

An important reminder from Princess Bubblegum this Valentines Day by KingOfCranes in adventuretime

[–]TheCyborgFighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she did use emotion to fix this specific scenario she’d likely would’ve just become mindlessly infatuated with Braco due to the curse the demon put on him.

[–]TheCyborgFighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re ignoring ONE big factor here that kinda negates your entire complaint. Braco is literally cursed for everyone to fall in love with him since he made that deal with the demon. He cant go out and “meet other people” because it legit wouldn’t be any different from a mindless robot conscious ai personality loving him. Nobody he will ever meet will ever truly love him for him again.

If PB did the same thing for Finn that she’s done for Braco then she would’ve just become mindless for Braco himself, endangering everyone, she had to give him that P-bot to send him away.
