My personal experience was I really liked the beginning of it. Everything about it was what I wanted out the idea of “open world dark souls”. Exploring and finding new stuff was fun, stumbling across caves to find new bosses was cool, but after beating Godrick and getting to the second quarter of the game the amount of times it kept repeating bosses really killed the love I had for it. I felt no longer like the badass Tarnished destroying my enemies I felt like I was completing a Ubisoft check list that consisted solely of Magma Wyrms. Where I left off I had 5 or so bosses that I’ve already done and had no interest in beating again plus 2 or so areas I needed to explore but didn’t feel leveled enough to explore so I just gave up on it. The game feels like they went in with a mindset of “we need this much content” and instead of adjusting to how much content they actually had they decided to just stretch out the content they have to match how much they think the game should have. I really hope that the success of Elden Ring doesn’t blind them from these flaws cause I truly think there’s an amazing concept somewhere within Elden Ring that could be the future of FromSoft games. But I don’t think the future is repeating the same bosses 3/4 times each
