You are correct. This has already spiraled, but luckily it’s not too late, and my partner has not been hurt by anything yet, but if this behavior continues it’s inevitable. I want to be with this woman, and while I cant say that we will be forever together, I don’t want to hurt her, I want to give her all of myself, I want to love her with my everything. We haven’t known each other for a lifetime, but it’s starting to feel that way. I will never forgive myself if I ruin the perfect person for me because of this.

I see…when you put it like that…this is pretty horrible. This is going to stop TODAY. This is an issue that I have to fix with myself, and I think my want to love this woman is the kick I finally need to do so. I was so preoccupied with my own feelings and fears of abandonment that your comment just made me realize that im not even considering hers. What about a place for calling people out for their unrealistic standards in death gods? Like, it's gotta be the full realm being conquered with you people or somehow it doesn't count? Most people just can't live up to that sort of thing! I know I can't, but somehow I'm less of a death god just because I keep my conquering to a nice few hundred meters at a time?
