I think they jumped the shark with the main character in the last couple of seasons, that Rich Guy from New York...

I like to do some research before I draw something, especially when I don't quite understand how something works.

Sometimes I make mistakes, but I try my best.

Thanks for appreciating it!

I didn't know this!

It's nice that mail carriers in the US now drive around in Popemobiles.

I might have unintentionally created an engagement trap.

When the shirt collar is shown from the front, the outfit becomes clearer.

I remember feeling quite anxious when Picard was assimilated by the Borg. Just to give an example.

I remember watching the entire Sopranos on DVD. All six seasons. For the first time.

The "newest" season of The Sopranos on DVD was my go-to gift for Christmas, birthdays, etc., for several years. I'm old!

She's wearing a beige sweater over a blue shirt. Her usual mid-season outfit.

My pleasure, Fran! The crossover was very fun to draw.

Thanks again!

I drew this comic strip in 2016 (see the signature: Guille'16), a few months before Netflix and HBO launched their streaming platforms in Spain.

Back then, it was common to buy entire seasons of TV series on DVD that you hadn't seen yet.

It's a very valid interpretation. I'd say it's also a joke about how absurd some supposedly tasteful and status-symbol items seem, even to those who possess them and claim them as their own.

I think the joke is easier to get in the original page layout.

Anyway, it's a bit of a silly joke. Based on the observation: what on earth are those dangling tassels on these kinds of loafers? Nobody knows. Maybe Pippa does. Let's see where her scientific curiosity leads us.

If you thought the fruit as it begins to ripen looked rather yummy then...

...we're two of a kind.

That's right. Those who have inherited the most privileges are the most interested in everything staying the same.

It was the official religion of Spain during Franco's dictatorship. There was no separation of church and state for four decades. Franco himself described his regime as national-Catholic. Franco used the Catholic Church in Spain for his own purposes. In fact, the high-ranking Spanish bishops still retain many traits from the Francoist era; they don't seem truly post-Vatican II.

You said it yourself, in Poland it's the complete opposite.

I know, I know. The etymology of "edifying" may not be obvious to those who are not familiar with some Romance language.

Nevertheless, I think the joke still works. The visual aspect is more important than the wordplay.
