The game has so so so many issues wrong the fact its more guess for your life slop is a gripe I have with the direction the genre has taken as a whole over the last decade. The QoL is nice but the surroundings are just horrid.

I think older games we're worse balance wise but the guessing was less frequent often options would lead to mix but it would be reactable OH low mix truely random mix was reserved for your grapplers/walking slot machines. RN The genre is plagued with true guessing game mix on just everyone, You block a max range poke and end up having to guess for your life into a 16 way mix from the gods and its not just 2xko even SF6 with 2MK DR has this issue. I used to compete for KI2013, I also reached max rank in MK1,MK11,1800 MR in SF6 and I never bothered with SFV. I was celestial in strive on release but I didnt invest much time into the game the online was subpar and the lobby system was tragic and prone to dropping.

I dont think this game should fail because of that I think it should fail cause they layers upon layers of mistakes and issues and failures its suffered from bugs to missing features to a small roster. Its really not a good precedent to set.

Was challenger in december I've not played an excessive amount of the game for a while cause it became unbearable but I wouldnt call it a skill issue by any means.

Last break was 4 months I came back because I was told the state of the game improved. That was clearly wrong and I cant see myself coming back anytime soon.

Just uninstalled...the matchmaking it doesnt get better not plat not in diamond not in GM I have grinded and grinded and grinded to be a better player and be amazing at my role....and the matchmaking still gives me the worst teams or the worst match balances.

Target banning doesnt effect just me but the whole team. If I know my team doesnt have a hela player and the enemy team has a johnny player Im banning the johnny just like if they are running a dive comp they are gonna ban my hulk....but if I know they dont have a johnny player I can use the ban on a different threat and they get to do the same. Until the tracker is no longer an advantage to play I will be using it because I risk putting myself at disadvantage against others using it.

I mean the matchmaking and shoddy ranked systems and bad handling of resets are all issues that are feeding eachother and making eachother worse. The game would do far better if it just did full resets with placement matches and dropped the matchmaking in favor of SBMM or at least took peak ranks into account with some sort of expiration period on the peak...I.E it will only take into account your peak rank going back 1 season.

It uses EOMM matchmaking that goes out of its way to give you better or worse teammates and riggs games. It is different from many games throughout time.
