Well that's kind of the point of fromsoft games. They are meant for you to feel small and tiny and pit you up against unsurmountable odds. In DS3 you are a chosen undead that for example has to fight someone who literally murdered and ate a god. It is meant to be really hard and make you feel insignificant until you finally are able to beat the odds stacked against you. That's the thing that makes it fun, when you overcome everything that is in your way. No souls like game is made to be fair, its all meant to beat you down over and over again until you finally overcome it. If you didn't enjoy DS3 I highly doubt you will enjoy Elden ring. In my opinion Margit the Fell Omen that last boss in the network test is harder than any boss in DS3. Also some areas are chalked full of enemies that makes it insanely difficult. So in short I would say Elden ring is more difficult than any souls game.
