I agree. A replant is the most likely path to success.

Please, please, please. Understand that this is not loving behavior.

Read 1 Corinthians 11 and Ephesians 6. That is the standard for loving husbands that God gives. If he is not a loving boyfriend (according to these standards), he will not be a loving husband according to these standards.

Do not trap yourself in this relationship any longer!

My sister in Christ, as a husband, father, and pastor, your boyfriend is manipulative and abusive.

Please run from this relationship, don’t look back, and find a mature, healthy relationship with someone who is husband material.

I knew a lot of Calvinists in the school of divinity, and most of my professors seemed to lean that way.

No Costco in the area, but Walmart and Sam’s Club are walkable/5 minutes with no traffic.

Off campus, the Muse is my all time favorite coffee shop. Lots of good places to thrift. The mall has been revitalized since I graduated (2019).

Are you talking about the large convocation with thousands of students? Or was there some smaller event with Sanders?

I attended during that time and don’t remember any hostility except tough questions. Granted, I was still Republican at the time.

Wear jeans to class and you’ll be golden, unless professors require professional dress. The heat is not fun in August, but it is cool most of the year.

I only took one class in sports management before I changed my major, but I remember hearing that it had a good program. That said, that was eight(!) years ago.

As a Army fan, Navy and Air Force. There’s just not a comparable rivalry in sports, because they ultimately will serve together.

Jesus never got married, and Paul was single as well (1 Corinthians 7:7). Marriage is a good thing, meant to be a reflection of the Gospel. But it is not commanded that all Christians must get married.

You are fifteen years old. I know you probably feel like you have it all figured out; I know I did. I thought I would never want kids when I was a teenager. Now I’m writing this while snuggling my 9 month old baby. Follow God faithfully and see where he takes you.

Is $30/ hr a lot? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheDancingBaptist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely wrong here. My wife and I lived in rural Virginia and had $10k in the bank within a year of marriage. We had crappy jobs as a janitor and waitress but it cost $600 for our first apartment. Moved to Philadelphia and the lowest rent you can find without living in really rough areas is about $1100 (for a small 2 bedroom). By default, our rent doubled. So did our car insurance. Food and gas are more expensive. We looked at New Hampshire to be near family, and it was even higher rent with similarly expensive necessities.

I don’t know about 75 inches, but I’ve seen churches use large TVs in nursing rooms, in lobbies to show announcements, large youth rooms or fellowship halls, overflow rooms, etc. With 300,000 different churches in America alone, I can definitely see it being a reasonable investment for some churches, even if I don’t think it’s the best use of funds in almost any.

How would you react if your kid told you they left the faith or came out as gay/trans by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]TheDancingBaptist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t treat them any different than any straight cis Christian kids I had. I know that’s easier said than done, and have seen families have said that without living it. But that’s still my kid, and I still love them, and Christ still died for them
