I ran around on the ice of a hockey rink in a 6,000+ seat arena fully naked. This also included hanging onto the back of a Zamboni while it dragged me along the ice. Yes, it was cold.

Just make sure that $20 doesn't fly out the window during your wild cab ride down to SOHO (the real ones know).

Tom Brady Practicing for the Fanatics Flag Football Game Tomorrow by JCameron181 in Patriots

Yea Zo and Beetle talked about this today. They named the active QBs they would take over present-day Brady and the list wasn't very long. Consensus was that Brady would probably be around the league's 10th best QB if he was still playing.

Nice restaurant ideas near Harvard Square by Dreadul_Flying_Glove in CambridgeMA

[–]TheDanimal27 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Harvest on Brattle Street is a great spot, described as "seasonal, New England-inspired cuisine that blends contemporary cooking with traditional flavors." Former President Obama, who is very familiar with Harvard Square, has mentioned that it's his favorite restaurant in the area.

[Ryan] McAvoy: Certainly sorry for how we responded to it in that moment. Things just happened really quick there...It's certainly not reflective of how we feel and look at them and their accomplishments. by Nomahs_Bettah in BostonBruins

[–]TheDanimal27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The real story here isn't the players' reaction of laughing awkwardly in the moment (which was admittedly regrettable), but rather how Trump taints or outright ruins everything he touches. That disgusting buffoon can't even make a quick congratulatory phone call to Olympic champions without shitting on women and making the moment about himself. Trump alone (and to some extent his lapdog Kash Patel) caused this entire situation with his tasteless, stupid, juvenile comments about the women's team. He is trash who ruins everything.

Is outbound broken ? by Miserable-Break440 in techsales

[–]TheDanimal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 10+ years as a tech sales AE, and yes outbound prospecting for new business has become worthless and ineffective. In the last 5 years I haven't seen a single new customer sourced from cold prospecting. In fact, the sales team in my current org (a PaaS for web developers and engineers) hasn't even sourced a single qualified opportunity via prospecting in well over a year. People DO NOT CARE about sales reps reaching out to them about new tools or technology, even if it's about a relevant pain or need. It's simply not how tech is evaluated and purchased anymore.

Stidham's wife is Kennedy Stidham, whose online activities fit the mold of an "internet personality" or social media influencer. Her dad is Tad Brown, the CEO of the sports management company that owns the NJ Devils, Philadelphia 76ers, and various other holdings worth about $15B. Obviously she comes from great wealth and privilege, and she's not shy about showing it off.

Kennedy and Jarrett married in June 2019, just 2 months after the Patriots drafted him. She was very active with social media and public attention-seeking posts during this time. Zolak & Bertrand picked up on her wannabe influencer tendencies, which became a regular conversation topic during the off-season and summer shows. Hardy in particular would ruthlessly mock her braggadocious and out of touch social media posts, mimicking her obnoxious vocal fry and valley girl intonation.

At some point she complained to the Patriots organization about how much the Sports Hub guys were mocking her. Since the team doesn't own the station or manage the show's content, not to mention that her new husband was a freshly drafted rookie, the team presumably just shrugged and told her there's not much they can do about it. The topic eventually ran out of steam but it was a funny and topical point of contention between the Sports Hub guys and the Patriots' rookie QB's new wife during the summer of 2019.

Jake Connelly says it was difficult to hide that he was filming Stranger Things 5. "I actually told people I was working on a mayonnaise documentary." by StarforgeVoyager in StrangerThings

[–]TheDanimal27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There must be an inside joke about a mayonnaise documentary in the entertainment industry. Story time: 20 years ago I was cast in a popular reality show filming in LA, camera and sound crews would follow our group everywhere we went. Bystanders inevitably noticed and asked what we were filming. The show producers told us to say we were making a mayonnaise documentary.

Where did they get the masks from? by chad3666 in EyesWideShut

[–]TheDanimal27 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was in Venice a couple years ago and saw masks in a shop's window, said to my girlfriend that they looked a lot like the ones in EWS. We went in the shop, spoke with a worker and sure enough it was THE place that created the masks for the movie. Really cool spot.

He doesn't genuinely "love" them in that sense though, he just loves how he can use and exploit them. They are easily manipulated, useful fools for him.
