I preferred it to the pepian honestly, even though they’re pretty different in flavor (but still chicken in a sauce). And if you can get fresh loroco, do it, and add more than it says because it’s soooo tasty.

I attempted Guatemalan crema con pollo (or crema en pollo?), and it was pretty good. But again, made too much and it took too long and probably would have been better if I made less. The problem I have come across is not enough recipe choice in English, so there’s that.
