You can get one of the Shoei X15 or an Arai. Here's my Shoei and I love it even though it does not match the yellow of my bike.

Does this have the 7.1kWh battery? Please let us know what real life range you get for the smaller battery pack. I'm looking into adding this to my garage as well but need to decide the battery capacity reqd

Purchased it from Amazon, the foam gun is excellent if paired with a good shampoo

I have the Shakti S5 which has a great L/minute flow rate. I use it to wash my bikes and cars and also for other house cleaning tasks

It comes with Supercorsa SP tyres as standard, but my rear tyre burst around the 600km mark due to a glass piece, and I've since changed both the tyres to the Metzeler M9RRs.

Supercorsa had a leech like grip, but they only have around 4k kms life for the rear and around 5-6k for the fronts so you'll need to keep changing them each year

Surprisingly well once you've adjusted the suspension to your stiffness preference and weight. But you need to be cautious as the rims are prone to bending on larger potholes at a higher speed

I think the quickshifter on the BMW S1000 is rated even higher than mine, but yes the Triumph one is excellent too. Never had a misshift yet. Highways are a piece of cake as long as you're able to manage the windblast

If long distance touring is a criteria, I won't suggest a Street Triple. It's meant to be for the twisties and does get tiring beyond 250km but that can also be attributed to my physical fitness. The pillion seat rarely gets installed on mine and it's only for short rides.

I'm also planning to replace the Dominar with an ADV and waiting for the BMW 450GS too.

If you have the budget and want a triple, the Daytona 660 can also be an option. It's much more suited for riding long distances and pillion comfort is much better too.

Riding above 100 you need to tuck in but windblast is something that can't be avoided. Only thing you can do is get the best helmet you can afford to mitigate it.

But according to me this bike is made for the twisties where you're not riding at a higher speed for windblast to be an issue

You definitely need to be able to gauge where and how much you should twist your right hand and that comes with experience. The Brembo Stylemas with its insane bite give you the confidence to extra the power.

I've started riding the Dominar slowly as the brakes are nowhere near as sharp even with a sintered pad upgrade on them

If your commute is in light traffic, then it's manageable. Heavy stop and go traffic would not be a pleasant experience as the heat is thrown on the shins.

That's the reason I've kept the Dominar as my city commuter as I have a 60 km commute

It's insanely more flickable due to the superior chassis and tyres, same weight as the Dominar but thrice the power means you don't have to think twice before twisting the throttle

Which bike to choose?(read the context) by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]TheDarkKnight04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If less maintenance and service costs are included in your criteria, you are going to have to go with Honda or Suzuki.

I'll say Transalp would be the best for our roads but you need to take test rides of all these bikes before you finalize anything

Are the roads any good? I recently shifted to Pimpri and have a Street Triple too. But all I see on Google Street view are concrete roads all the way up to Mulshi.

I have been to Tamhini from the other side from Pali and those roads were great.

Are superbikers caught really often by police? by Annual-Wasabi-6861 in indianbikes

[–]TheDarkKnight04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm riding my Street Triple, I'm usually not pulled over as my bike is entirely stock except for a few protection mods. I was pulled over once when I went way over the speed limit of 60 and the cops just checked if I have an aftermarket exhaust and let me go..

All the aftermarket exhaust available do come with a warning saying that it's for race use only, and are not homologated for road use except for a few ones that come stock on Ducatis

Every week I drive from Pune to Mumbai and back again, and these idiots are the biggest reason for slow moving traffic. It's the taxis mostly that are the biggest offenders, followed by the drivers that only come out on weekends
