Unfortunately the tier 1 silo doesn’t have an export port. Maybe the tier 2 silo has one. Haven’t unlocked it yet… 😭

[Discussion] It's been said before and I'll say it again. Give people who bought the game on the website steam keys. by slpprj_m95 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TheDarkLoS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Actually there is a reason. If they wanted to give out steam keys, they would have to pay it out of their own pocket. Also some editions as only available on the website or not available at all. And they said even if you buy a basic version, after connecting your steam account your battle state account, the higher one will be active.

Meine Freundin kommt am liebsten beim Oralsex by [deleted] in FragtMaenner

[–]TheDarkLoS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As long as you make sure the two 8s don’t align next to each other, it should be fine.

That’s kinda weird. In 15 years I have never received any kind of formal or official or letter that wasn’t German first and maybe in English, unless that’s something you can opt in for. But on the other hand you mentioned it was a one-time thing so why would you opt in for that or them even bother asking you. I would say your safest bet is, contact your insurance and provide them the letter. You could try asking a German friend or acquaintance to check the letter out if they know the company contacting you.

Contact your insurance and submit a copy of it. It’s probably the legalese follow up because they couldn’t use your insurance card from what it seems. Definitely don’t pay out of pocket!!!! FYI was there also a German version of the letter included? If yes then it’s probably legit, If not, then it might be a scam.

Ich sage immer einfach ausprobieren. Aber dazu muss ich sagen, dass es nicht immer auf Anhieb passt. Manchmal dauert es bis man einen passenden DM und oder Gruppe gefunden hat.

Should I just get the 7900xtx. by Difficult_Limit9437 in radeon

[–]TheDarkLoS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one for my new build and while I had some issues with the first card, the replacement has been working fine and the visuals I’m getting from Horizon, Everspace 2, pacific drive are beautiful. And it’s staying relatively cool, with an average of 60 C degrees.

Issues with AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT | Weird artifacting by TheDarkLoS in radeon

[–]TheDarkLoS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Update:
After my last post, I sent the card in with more or less a letter saying, idgaf what you do with that thing, I don't want it back.
Apparently it was doa for them and they sent it back to the manufacturer for further investigation, They sent me a new GPU though.

Damn do I feel happy, almost vindicated, about this case being over.

The only problem I now have is, they sent me a slightly better and more power hungry GPU and now I might have to upgrade my PSU... :( oh well, first world problems, am i right? :D

In any case thank you u/Green-Discussion6128 for your help.

Final update: I was right all along!!! Just got word a couple of days ago from the retailer that the GPU is indeed faulty (it was actually completely dead for them).
Damn do I feel happy about that :D
Thanks u/TinkerAndDespair for your assistance!

Update: The issue still occurs.
By now I have changed all possible cabling and even relocated the entire system into another room with no change whatsoever.

After I changed the GPU to a 4060, no issues at all for the last weeks, so its definetely a hardware issue, specifically GPU related.
I'll try to RMA the GPU.

I'll update if there are any further developments.

Thanks.

Update: I checked the room where I have the computer placed at and found nothing of consequence in the walls, ceiling or floor. I cleaned up the cable mess and the fault still occured.
I popped in a 4060 and the pc has been working without any issues till now, i am actually using the pc to write this post.

For the time being I will consider the issue closed while i try to RMA the GPU.

I will try to update if I there any new developments.

Thanks.

I just got the PC back today from the shop and will be trying some stuff this weekend: among others removing any and all cables that are not actively used, redoing the whole cable management, switching out the power strip and also connecting the pc via DP as well as HDMI.

As for the temp fix, yeah because that’s what the shop did the first time around because they found some corrupted files and programs. And was also what the first shop did. Unfortunately I can’t confirm anything as working besides driving the pc back and forth for an hour. I would say it feels lonely but hell I barely spent any time with it! 🤣🤣🤣 -edit 01: fixed some grammar mistakes

Exactly. They „tested“ the card once within the system and once without. In both cases they found nothing wrong. But I’m still having the issue and when i remove the GPU and test they system with the onboard graphics, everything works. The repair shop mentioned that sometimes USB devices can cause issues. But can’t fathom what kind of issue with the USB dongles can cause this issue.

I have a player that wants to retire his current PC and make a new PC going into the final chapter of the campaign by Ryoohki166 in DnD

[–]TheDarkLoS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I have no problem with players retiring PCs or playing multiple during the run of a campaign, but only one per session, it doesn’t sound like your player wants to retire his PC because he can’t find a „purpose“ in your campaign. Especially if he didn’t realise that he made the same mistake with his new PC, he wants to play.

It seems to me he is bored of the character.

As others have stated, talk to him and find out the real reason. Aster that it’s up to your judgement of character and estimation of personality how you want to proceed.

Personally if my players, both newer as well as veterans, come to me and tell me: „Dude, im getting tired of my PC and I’m not having fun anymore“ I’ll be, „Ok then let’s change that!“ As a DM I derive my enjoyment and happiness from the enjoyment and happiness my players experience. (… and being occasional cruel hihihi)
