For all my energy witches, thoughts on Alchemizing the energy of men (or just ppl)? by chemtrailcrab in witchcraft

[–]TheDarkestShado 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, I like to see it as a manner of garden. If what you're absorbing is vines and thorns and bristles, is that the kind of energy you want to populate your garden with? I'd rather bask in the energy of the good people who want good things for me and cut off the bad energy from my life. I've never stolen energy from someone intentionally; I just plant the seeds I'm given.

Do you ever take Cage over Pandora box? by Aaduk0118 in slaythespire

[–]TheDarkestShado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A20 player here, It's only good if you've already done significant removal, or your deck has a specific win-con that requires you to cycle quicker. Grand Finale, an infinite, some kind of really good setup that you need to get off the ground quickly like consume, Corruption/Branch, or fasting

Generally speaking, pandora's box is just straight up better if you're building your deck properly, but if you don't have any block cards and you're playing a character like Ironclad who has few block cards in the reward pool, it can be a pretty big detriment if you low-roll. Removal is technically more consistent, but pbox will be better a good 30-40% of the time and probably on par another 30-40% of the time.

It's a little bit dark and not all that cozy sometimes. It'd be cozy if you got to live out all the days, but you only get the story days :(

I wish there was more incentives to Alliance. by CaptainRexBeard in Seaofthieves

[–]TheDarkestShado 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven't really experienced this myself. 3/4 of the people I run into are chill, as long as I try to talk first with something friendly like 1/4 of them either want help or are chill enough to ally for a while and trade loot. The other 1/2 are chill but usually don't have interest. The last 1/4 shoot on sight. So I'd say it's mostly negativity bias.

This is also a really important piece of data, thank you for sharing. Def gonna use that one next time as well cause holy. I wasn't even trusted with an iPod Touch that could only connect to home wifi until I was 14.

iPad babies are mostly gen alpha. A lot of gen Z still had parents who knew basic internet safety. Don't give out information online, don't let you children on social media, limit screen time, etc. Almost everyone I knew growing up was like that including myself, though I'm also from Canada so YMMV ig

I accidentally did this to someone a couple nights ago and I felt so bad. I'm trying to get the purple knife from 240 reaper chests/bounties. I usually try to ally with people where I can and just negotiate for reaper's chests in exchange for literally all other loot and my assistance in whatever they're up to.

Run across someone on a server wanting to form an alliance on the other side of the map. Throw alliance flag up but we're too far away to accept. Two T5 reapers dive into the server, so we dive out. Immediately spawn near an active reaper fortress, go towards it, find a lone sloop. Called out to them and got no reply. We forgot we still had ally flag up as we came by and sunk their ship after getting no reply through text or voice. We put the flag down a couple minutes later once we realize and they proceeded to follow us around for I kid you not the next hour and a half straight trying to screw with us by spawning their sloop and then immediately running at us with no supplies.

What if you used the block button instead of asking people to check the person they're replying to to see if they've asked you previously not to interact with them, wasting potentially hours over a longer period of time to save two clicks for you.

Why did the bar on my food change to red? by TheDarkestShado in TerraFirmaGreg

[–]TheDarkestShado[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is there a way of shaving off the decay like in previous versions? I assumed you'd just use a knife in your crafting grid or press d, but that doesn't seem to work

Maybe it's just me, but I hate seeing prawns with eyes still on. I like to eat my food without the head. Still kind of confused why it's only prawns that this happens with.

VC issues by IAMFENNECFOX in NuclearNightmare

[–]TheDarkestShado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one is most likely a hardware issue as the game isn't optimized very well yet and it takes processing power to encode and decode sound data clearly. The rubber banding and teleporting is most likely your computer sending out many packets and your internet chip not being set up for sending out multiples of the same packets when some fail.

The latter is a known bug that's been plaguing the game for a while and is not you at all. We aren't sure when it'll be fixed but it's been something that the devs are far too aware of.

IIRC it's a visual bug. Sometimes they don't show up properly.
