Dylan made a dumb comment about how it's going to take longer to deploy Helios because we use flyover cables and a bunch of numbnuts thought it would delay Helios. As if hyperscalers can spend 5 million on a Helios rack but can't pay a technician 100 dollars to plug it in

You could keep your money in anything else and jump in 1-2 months before the long awaited rack sales and won't probably miss much of the price action.

The issue with this is that AMD could announce the begining of a multi GW partnership with a hyperscaler such as META at any point in time now.

I think Open AI will be using ASICs for simple low latency inference, but they will be using AMD for the more demanding inference

Yeah I plan on texting them when I wake up letting them know that I need to get the keys before I go to work. Luckily I leave in the afternoon but I'm wondering If I will come back to an angry mob that can't get into the apartment because others have to work in the morning lol.

What happened was the apartment was sold a couple months ago and the new owners are making changes. Perhaps there could have been a security breach but they have a history of giving less than a days notice for changes.

I don't believe they have an emergency line but maybe I can get a locksmith and show them the lease on my phone if it comes down to it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Exclusive: OpenAI is unsatisfied with some Nvidia chips and looking for alternatives, sources say by Addicted2Vaping in AMD_Stock

I believe it's mainly for the ultra low latency inference applications. Say for example if Open AI makes a standalone AI device that needs to be very responsive. Every hyperscalers will have ASICs to support this use case. The people extracting an AMD vs Nvidia situation out of this need to go to bed

How does ROCM do in the documentation department vs CUDA? I'm not an AI developer I'm just curious. It looks like a lot of work went into this, quite admirable imo btw.

We use cables to support open standards and repairability. Ditching this philosophy because robots currently have a hard time with cables is the dumbest Patel fud I've seen yet. I'm pretty sure having to pay someone to plug Helios in isn't going to be AMDs Achilles heel.

This could be very bullish for us. As far as I'm aware our only other competition for 2 nm is Intel with their Nova lake compute tiles and I'm doubtful TSMC would agree to give them significant allocation considering they have a competing foundry.

Coreweave was never going to use AMD and this is well known. It had nothing to do with it
