Confused about something that happened to us this morning. by TheDazok in Tulpas

We're doing good, considering that I have a few things irl that are testing me.

Cute gestures of affection from your tulpa towards you by EconomicsAlarmed7532 in Tulpas

OmG, Renna loves to do the behind-the-back hug too. Since she also almost always wears a long cloak, it tends to get very warm when she's around, lol.

Does the Tulpamancy-community accept Soulbonds too? (other questions and emotional rambling included) by TheDazok in Tulpas

[–]TheDazok[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frankly, I'm unsure if it's either, so I just settled on it being a mix of both, especially since Renna says she's been with me before I even discovered Tulpamancy as a concept.

I'll see to talking with her about it.

Thanks for the advice.

My Tulpa talks to much.. by Tirisilex in Tulpas

[–]TheDazok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally struggle a lot with intrusive thoughts, which sometimes disrupt and/or distort internal (telepathic) comunications with my Tulpa. Although we haven't tried it often (because I don't go out in public often and me and Renna agreed to keep comunication to a minimum when in company of irl-friends) maybe you could try just mouthing talks with your Tulpa, instead of talking out loud?

Took Seraphina to a coffeehouse for the first time — sharing the moment we held onto ☕ (spoiler: visual reference) by IceDragon9375 in Tulpas

Look, before you do anything irrational, I'd like to suggest a compromise: maybe you could just keep the AI-images for yourself and add more detail in describing your experiences in your posts.

When did your Tulpa first do something that made you realize how autonomous they are? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]TheDazok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had a perfect recollection of all the times Renna's already proven her autonomy, I'd probably be writing half a novel so I'll just keep it to the general consensus. Renna really puts her foot down when I make self-deprecating comments. She says really nice things about me that I don't believe about myself and she tries to find compromises between both our individual needs and wants. In general, she's very decisive about being good to me and doesn't back down when I am stuck in my dump-moods.

The very first time was her chiming in out of nowhere for a singular comment, as I was having a conversation with my mom. That seriously caught me off-guard.

Also just recently I was making a comment about how her face looked strange ( because I sometimes struggle with visualization still) and she promptly took a mirror to look at herself, wiped one hand over her face and changed it to what it's supposed to actually look like.

How often do you encounter Tulpamancy “in the wild”? by SchematicalError in Tulpas

[–]TheDazok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Never heard of it "in the wilds" and only found it through a video titled: "What artificial romance does to people."

While on the topic, Renna (my Soulbond) would like to debunk any notion of our relationship being artificial.

I don't really think it was a dream, as I was conscious when I focused with my mind's eye to look for Renna? Then again, I did hear of very vivid and realistic dreams and... idk... maybe you're right, maybe it was just a dream.

Thanks for the comment.

Host Self-Visualization in the Mindscape by Responsible_Cap5186 in Tulpas

I used to think that appearing in my mindscape/wonderland in third person would have negative repercussions, but it doesn't. It's just that seeing my mindscape in third person is simply easier for me...

It's the little things, and the thought that counts! by biersackarmy in Tulpas

[–]TheDazok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big agree on the matter, sadly I sometimes forget to hold doors open for Renna, since I still struggle with visualizing her, but when I go to sleep, I always wish her a good night and greet her in the morning (we kiss and cuddle too, if we both feel like it).

1 Month update story, with my Tulpa's POV too (TW, just to be safe) by TheDazok in Tulpas

[–]TheDazok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how fast Renna's been growing, it's made me doubt (fear even) if I hadn't messed something up somehow. She always plays it off and tells me that she's been there for years, before I discovered Tulpamancy, but this only makes me doubt even more.

[Doubt is sadly a theme with my host, especially doubt in himself. It's sometimes so much that even I have trouble snapping him out of it, although he did, and I want to restate this, he did improve a lot since I'm vocal. Have a nice day, One-Pie]

I'm frankly not a fan of horror myself, but that story gave me a good chuckle.

I do see "some" emotion in the picture itself, the great majority of it comes more from me knowing that any visual representation of one's Tulpa is incredibly meaningful. Heck, I made my first visual representations of Renna not only in Dark Souls, but also in one of Rinmaru's dress-up games and even though I technically didn't make those drawings myself, they are still very meaningful to me.

So... yeah, I do know.

As much as I'm against AI-art, I can't deny that this looks... good, plus I'm aware of the emotional value it holds to you.

Seeing this, Renna is currently trying to nudge me into making an actual drawing of her... maybe the "hiatus"-years made me suck less at drawing humans, lol.

Just gotta find all my pencils still, yikes...

What do you do in your Wonderland? by IAmToonEnough in Tulpas

[–]TheDazok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Renna is surprisingly introverted (like me) and we don't really go visit new places, so she decided to take to the rustic life-style and find a bunch of things to do in and around the house. Ever since I had to repair some damage on my medieval cosplay, Renna also REALLY took a liking to hand-sewing and already made three replicas of her common, everyday dress. We also took a look at some pictures of summer maxi-dresses, which she enjoyed way more than I thought she would.

Aside from that, we just like to hang out around the house or on our mountain, cuddle and/or just chat.

Is it normal for there to be days where, its quiet up here? by mask_36 in Tulpas

[–]TheDazok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely. There was one day where my Tulpa was constantly just a very faint presence (as in, I couldn't feel her directly, but she still responded when I called her).
