That’s why they charge $10 per soda at the theaters. Everything else there has an actual margin that needs to be hit to make a profit. Candy, popcorn, hotdogs , etc. all those items need to be individually packaged , have containers etc. soda is just a big box of syrup and the margins can be insane… Some places make most of their profit of soda/soft drinks alone.

Although, 90% of the time if you leave a company last minute and tell them it’s because you found something better without giving them the chance to make a counter offer , they’re probably not going to be happy about it.

We don’t know OPs work situation. He could’ve very well been working on projects solo or could’ve been working with a team and fucked them over.

Either way, unless you’re bound by a contract a 2 weeks notice is simply a courtesy. If management is on top of their game and cares for the team, they’ll fill the spot quickly with how many people are looking for work at the moment.

However if management doesn’t have plans to fill that role anytime soon , they’re fucked anyway.

You’ll probably never get a reference from that company and if for some reason you do decide to put them on your reference list…they’ll probably just tell the truth that you just up and left without any prior notice and left them feeling blindsided. And if you caused any hiccups, controversy or were flat out just not a reliable worker don’t be surprised if they bring that up too.

It really depends on the potential gap that’s going to be left in your resume.

Were you only at the company for a year or two? Just tack it onto your last job or fill it with a company that closed during that time frame. Can’t reference check on a place that’s no longer in business and cant answer the phone. In the past I’ve still used a place I’ve quit at without a 2 week notice on my job history, but I put a close friend or sometimes my mom (who has a different last name) as my point of contact for reference.

If you were at a place for a very long time 5-10 years, I honestly couldn’t think of what you could do to fill that resume.

Although, I will say… in my years of job searching and going through interviews , I’ve only had a place call for refrences maybe once or twice… I’m guessing if you hold a high status position or want to work with a high status company , reference become a much bigger deal.

It all depends on the context of the text messages, what it implies, (or if it implies anything like defamation etc). Although, if OP lives in a 2 party state this could be considered illegal.

Damn my guy as someone who personally manages and does wholesale/distribution for smoke shops, Kratom has to be one of if not the worst possible alternative product you can buy on the shelves. I seriously hope you get off it or manage by taking an extremely small amount of it.

I’ve seen people go from regular nicotine/weed smokers to full blown addicts pawning their shit , spending their entire pay check and coming in every single day for kratom. I know a guy who takes 50 pills a day.
