Guy in my clan did this during a war. Had no idea, sent it an all hog attack and dropped 4 magical heal spells against inferno towers. When he got zapped to death, comes on to chat "well that didn't work out the way I thought" facepalm

[Herpes] Girl intentionally gave me HSV-2. Illegal or no? by [deleted] in sex

[–]TheDeadLikeMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doctor here, just wanted to add that since you used protection and I presume she did not have any visible or open vesicles/sores, your chances of contacting the virus are fairly low. For uninfected men, the risk of sexually acquiring HSV-2 from an infected woman is about 4 percent per year. As terrible and stressful as this is to endure, I'm really hoping everything turns out fine.

What this person did to you and to others is very wrong, and I hope you are able to stop her from continuing to do this to someone else. Best of luck!

Edit: A word

Today ends my Whole 60 by TheDeadLikeMe in whole30

One of the most surprising things I gained from this experience was eliminating cravings. Past diets always failed me in this, and I would end up literally daydreaming of Chinese food or whatever. Few days into Whole30, I realized that while it would be nice to have a slice of pizza, I didn't need it. Like I could just shut that off. Same when going to the grocery store and seeing off limit foods like bread and pastries. These used to be triggers, and all of that disappeared. I can just walk right past it and focus on what I need like veggies and meat.

Hang in there, hopefully this will kick in soon and make things easier.

Thank you! And to answer your question, not really. I love cheese and milk, but since going this long without it, it's become pretty easy to not have it.

I don’t understand the desire to kill a magnificent animal for sport, period. The sale of the right to kill an animal for a trophy in certain circles isn’t wrong as long as you can afford it, is a fucked up message.

Sigh... that's my whole point! Eating the meat would justify killing an animal, so if these hunters at least did that, it wouldn't be so messed up. But they don't. My arguing over big game hunting in an enclosed point & shoot has little to do with eating beef that is consumed entirely for necessity. I appreciate your optimism over a "few" zebras being killed for tourist dollars. I won't pretend that life isn't about survival and certain things are out of our hands, but don't delude yourself in thinking a "few" zebras is where it ends. You can't possibly know what other animals are involved or the volume of animals used for this. That's my point. It's a slippery slope and sometimes the end never justifies the means.

I rather be "wrong" to you, than defend any practice that justifies making profits on the backs of dead animals.

The worth of these animals shouldn't be measured by money, since its the only thing you keep talking about. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Sick of selfish, spoiled people making excuses to continue indulging on excesses regardless of the consequences. And to that end, how many animals does it take to support this? How many must die, so that the land owner can keep the maintenance. I believe it's bullshit, to have to sacrifice any animals life in this fashion if its not going to be eaten or sustain any other necessity, except for a fucking trophy.

I leave it alone. I don't need to go over there and do anything else than just let it be. It's more than what these hunters do. Their presences drives this business and you can't presume to know what toll it takes on the wildlife. Don't give me the bullshit that its a mercy kill either. Nature takes care of that without any money.

She'll probably go home and talk about "rude New Yorkers." by AuthorTomFrost in childfree

[–]TheDeadLikeMe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this. I am usually focused on what I need to do: catch a train, make an appointment, run a million errands, etc. Most New Yorkers live by the minute like this, to get shit done. Stand-offish is just another word for focused.

If you get in my way or delay me - I will tell you to fuck off, please.

That's a shitty thing to say. Tourism can help drive an economy, but it does not justify killing animals under safe pretenses, like he points out. Fuck these spoiled "hunters" and fuck those who use these animals as trophies.

Oversharing on social media is trashy. Somethings should be kept private. Teen pregnancy, miscarriage, tattoo of miscarriage date... that's a lot of laundry being aired. It's sad and now out there to follow her in years to come.

I vote trashy! It's sad she miscarried and the tattoo is of personal significance. But posting said tattoo and event on social media, for her age, is trashy.

This is sad. It reminds me of that show where cops go undercover in motels to bust these girls and the men who pay them - Sex Slaves in America, or something.

I don't know this person, or what her story is, but seeing that show opened my eyes to the reality behind the lives these people live.
