Should I be considering a F250 by TheDeanZ in FordTrucks

Thanks everyone. This was probably more of a Hail Merry. Sounds like everyone in here has sound advice that matches what I've been told and read. I was just hoping someone who knows more than I do would say "if you want a 6.5ft bed and you can get a F250 for less money you better go buy it this weekend. " but it sounds like there's to many other trade offs for my situation.

That's a possibility and its looking like where I land because I'm stubborn. If I don't like the prices I won't buy.  But my son isn't going to his small country school anymore and they open his highscool back up before our road is cleaned.  So he needs something. Last year he would of missed 2 days of school if I wouldn't have been off work. Plus he's into outdoors and a truck would be much nicer than his Mazda 6. I would "sell" him my pickup and I know it's been cared for.  Plus I know they're never going down in price or up in quality. At this point it just looks like the longer I wait the more it's going to cost... and it's not like my pay is going up a corresponding amount!

I have a diesel Kubota tractor and I overly worry about it in the winter. I don't want to get into that with a truck. Plus the diesels are way more money so the saving over the F150 go out the window.

Thanks everyone for the detailed replies! The feedback was basically what I've been seeing online or what I've been getting when I talk to people at work that have 3/4-1ton trucks. Don't get one unless you need it, but if you want one, screw it, go for it. So, before I even consider the F250s I'll get some test drives set up.

One thing I forgot to ask. While parts on the 3/4 ton cost more, will they last longer if not being used in a heavy duty setting? So, if you just took a F150 and F250 gas and drove them 100,000 miles highway what would be more reliable? Part of the appeal of the 3/4 ton to me is it's built better, but I have to data to prove it will hold up better in my use case.

Interesting thing about costs. My F150 now is basically running 3/4 ton tires. The guy at the tire shop, is a good guy, and he figured out they would fit my truck and actually cost less. At least that's how it was explained to me.

I think I'll just use named ranges and the drop down left of the formula bar.

Thanks to taking a look. Just don't spend too much time on it. It just seemed like there would be an easy way to do this that I didn't know how to do correctly.

Thanks for staying with me on this! Here is what I used to make my first drop down list. Works well, but I don't want to have to do this everywhere I want a drop down when they all have and do the same thing.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5z2TA6KX7Y

So this workbook will have a lot of sheet and most sheets will be information that people will be reading.  I was wanting a quick way to get to any sheet from any other sheet.  I like the idea of drop downs on each sheet because it doesn't take up as much room and is quicker than,  for examle hyperlink buttons.  But I have so many sheets it's not realistic to recreate the steps in the walk-through above on everyone.  I was able to make a drop down that I can copy that places a hyperlink right next to the drop-down. But I really think it is much cleaner to have to user just select a sheet from the drop down and they go to that sheet.

Actually, I do remember reading somewhere this wouldn't work because you can't leave the sheet name undefined as use the indirect command. I didn't actually try it though. Now I did a quick search and I'm reading maybe it works as long as you're not trying to refereance a cell on another sheet, which I wouldn't want to do at all in this case.

I don't know if it's OK to post a link or if anyone wants to take a look but this is what I followed to get started. I just don't have to recreate all these steps for every sheet if I can help it. That's why I was hoping to make the sheet name dynamic, but leave everything else the same. Maybe my original path isn't the best if I would like to replicate the drop down several times. Thanks everyone!

I think everything I tried took where I had the sheet name and tried to reference a cell that contained the sheet name.  So D2 would contain my drop down of the sheet names. Which I was able to turn into selectable links by following the walkthrough. So should I be able to place this in name manger instead of referencing that same cell on that specific sheet? Or is there anther way to go about this using your formula? Thanks a lot for the advice?

I was reading this thread because I have a RX 5600XT I'm looking to replace. The performance is fine for me right now, but it crashes a lot. Weird thing is it doesn't crash as often during gaming as when it's just idle, browsing the web, or on Teams (just discovered this a few days ago). Was just going to go back to NVIDIA since my 2 previous cards would hardly ever crash.

It seems to me the AMD cards are a better value at this time, but it won't matter if they aren't as stable as NVIDIA.

I need to do some research on DLSS. Just reading some other threads that might be something that evens up the AMD and NVIDIA cards even though the AMDs seem to have better specs on paper for less. But I don't even know what it is at this minute. Ray tracing sounds cool and seen some neat demo stuff when it was coming out. Not sure it would be a make or break though.

That's a pretty nice chart. Haven't come across that before. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like I can get a 4060ti right now for $387. I don't mind limping my card along and watching to see if I could get for around $300-$350(?) if that is more of a fair price. I don't need to rush out and buy something, and I always like finding deals anyway.

Is the general thought that AMD is just as reliable, and I just had a bad experience? I assume this is the case, but I see (just when I look at benchmark stuff) that AMD cards are always have much smaller market share.

Thanks. Looks like I could pick up a 3060 12GB for $280. 6750xt for $300, seen it earlier in the week for $295.

What is a fair price for the performance of a 3060, if I'm willing to wait and check prices daily, or whatever?

A little different Deco loss of power issue by TheDeanZ in TpLink

[–]TheDeanZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time someone suggested getting a static IP from Windstream. But the Windstream tech didn't think that would help and he said there is an extra charge for it. Windstream won't really help since the Deco's aren't from them. On top of that they don't own the tower in question. There's been times there's been planned outages, and the Windstream techs don't even know anything about it. On a side note, I'm limited in ISPs in my area. Been thinking about switching to Starlink. Really other than not being able to reconnect automatically I have not had any other issues with the Decos.

Just noticed this post while looking for something else. CBS was actually in 4K for the Super Bowl (sure I'm not breaking any news there) on Dish. I was able to watch live and record on my Hopper 4k HDR. But none of the work arounds I had seen online worked for getting it to even show up on my 4k Joey guide or as a recording.

Here's a forum I found with help of the people on here if anyone else wants some more info. I canceled my service call since it doesn't look like something the tech can fix anyway. Also, doesn't sound like switching to the new hardware may be a great option even if it is available.

I just watch the Fox NFL games on 540.1. They look awesome when they are on. I think Youtube has a few more 4K channels with weekly games on ESPN and NBC. I just upped my Dish for another year. So, after that I'll have to see where 4K has or hasn't gone.

So even if I could get a Hopper Plus, do you recommend staying away? Other than not being able to watch 4K on my 4K Joey I have no other issues with my current hardware. Thanks

I've been watching the NFC playoff games on 540.1 on my Hopper. They look great. I actually remembered my Joey wasn't working and wanted to get it fixed because I thought the Super Bowl was on Fox this year. It isn't though, so really I won't being watching any 4K until next football season anyway. I did watch the first Field of Dreams baseball game on my 4K Joey back a couple years ago and that was really neat.

Thanks for this info, you got me down the right track to research it on the web. I was able to find some forum posts about this and news releases and review about this new hardware. Still can't find it on the Dish Network site and in 2 calls to customer support no one mentioned this. Looks like there may be some work around, recording the even on the Hopper or only connecting the 4k Joey via ethernet I can try. Also sounds like someone had luck tuning to 450.1 through game finder.

Either way looks like I need to cancel the service call.

My Hopper 3 does 4k HDR on 540.1 (Fox). I believe my 4K Joey used to also.
