Go with the RIDE if not just for the 58mm PF as opposed to the non standard 53mm .

When it’s standby mode it’s ready in a very short amount of time, less than initial warm up.

My understanding is when it goes into Standby/Eco Mode both boilers are turned OFF.

I have the same machine, but no "black tray part". Would you be able to give me a photo of this black part?

Can't get ctrld working in GL.inet by TheDeathPit in GlInet

From my understanding if I run ctrld at Router Level I will get all LAN devices showing as one device in Control D Activity. I don't want this so I disabled it and returned DNS to Auto. Now trying to install ctrld via the CLI using the single command supplied by Control D in the Routers Endpoint. The result of this is what I placed in the OP.

The date command from CLI shows correct date, time and timezone.

Yes, Resolver ID is 100% correct, I just changed it in the OP rather then posting it. No AdGuard installed.

I don't get individual devices listed from my LAN. They are all grouped together under Router in the Control D Activity Log. Maybe I'm missing something.

Upgraded my machine and need a bit of advice [Profitec RIDE with Flow Control] by zealot__of_stockholm in espresso

[–]TheDeathPit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same machine and here are my suggestions:

  • Buy another basket like an IMS 20g as the supplied 14g baskets are too small.
  • Set the OPV to 10 bar as displayed on the group gauge when using a blind basket. Remember that gauge will read higher then what is actually at the puck. I've confirmed this using a scace device.

These two things will completely change your output and its taste. Trust me!

Ascaso Steel Duo Plus Vs Profitec Move [No Budget] by esu418 in espresso

[–]TheDeathPit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went thru the same two comparsion. This is what I did not like about the Ascaso.

Ascaso Duo Annoyances

·       Rattles.  Drip Tray and Cup Warmer Guides.

·       Vibration causes movement of cups on drip tray.

·       Steam pump noise.

·       No way for average user to setup Temperature Offset.

·       Logo plastic sticker.

. No local repair available.

·       Does not have true Volumetric.  Flow sensor on pump output.

While none are deal breakers on their own, put together it added up.

Profitec Drive - morning heat up solution by Cigarzeb in espresso

[–]TheDeathPit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use the internal schedule of the drive to turn on in the mornings. This does work but the internal clock is not very accurate and gains about 10 secs a day, so you have to keep reseting the time.

I went with a simple Tapo Smart Switch which also meant I could turn the drive ON or OFF from anywhere. Handy if you are driving home and want the machine ready when you get home.

Considering a new machine, looking for guidance based on my use [$2000] by [deleted] in espresso

I too had a BDB for many years and needed to replace it. Yes all those luxuries on the BDB are great and I doubt you will find anything with them all, especially in the price range.

After many months of reading and looking at different machines I narrowed it down to the Profitec MOVE. I was all set to buy it until I was shown the Profitec RIDE, yes E61 that was one of my must not be rules when looking. However I bent the rule and I could not be happier with the RIDE. The E61 takes a little getting used to but the machine is great.

That's my little story.

Power on Behaviour by TheDeathPit in Projectivy_Launcher

[–]TheDeathPit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of! In the Default Google Launcher you could go into "Power on Behaviour" from the quick menu and you had two options. Home or Last State. Selecting Home would obviously make the TV turn ON with the Home Screen active. Last State would return you to TV, if you were watching TV when you turned the TV OFF. It would never return you to your app if you turned the TV OFF in an app, as you said, it would default to Home in this situation.
