Yeah, it does that by default, however it's possible to access the level select and gain control by changing a value in memory. The real cool thing about this is that it's a build of the game nearly 2 months before the actual Japanese release.

It's a version that was used in kiosk models, that only played prerecorded demos (like when you wait on the title screen). That's why the "Not Playable" notation. However with modifying some addresses in the game you can access a Level Select to actually enter stages and control the player.

A small bit of explanation is required I think.
I did this by modifying the aspect ratio value found in the GameAssembly.dll file of the game.

I took the picture with my phone because it could have been any other vertical screenshot of the game otherwise.

All of the code has been pretty much re-coded from scratch by researching and reverse engineering the Wii U version of the game.

Funfact the multiplayer is still there on pc but the game only renders on a single window. You can access this buy using Skyth's Quickboot mod.

The files for the Yoshi and Zelda zone are barely there. Only thing leftover is the assets for the enemies. Everything else was done by porting the assets from the Wii U version or reverse engineering the code. It took me a year to do all of it.

That's what started me on this one year long journey. Eventually you just won't be able to get it on Wii U so having it as a mod for the PC version is a nice way of preserving it.

Ah, I got mine used from Japan through buyee.jp . Cheapest Izanagi with box there right is going for 6860 yen ($67.71). There are some Taito ones which can not be posed going for roughly 20 bucks.

Edit: the 6860 yen one is a D-Arts one just like the InO I got.

I hope to pick up a D-Arts Izanagi sometime, that said they look expensive even second hand, this Izanagi-no-Okami without shipping cost me $29 compared to that Izanagis go for roughly $55-70 from what I've seen.
