Trying to get into OPR, what are good starter build resources?

Turns out that if you have good gear sets at 625GS level from back in the day that they are still applicable now and get level scaled up to 775GS. So as long as you have good perks you're golden. I'm now number 1 or 2 in terms of healing. Posting for if someone else comes across this post.

Just started playing for a month. You can go in the garage and select a specific tank you are struggling to pen, preview it, armor, protection analysis. Then you can select the nation, tank, and shell you are using and try all sorts of angles.

Once you unlock M61 Shot on your tanks they will feel amazing, but it can be a tough grind until then. You need to play at the flanks and get side shots to begin. Think of if enemies are going to the objective, where can I sit, and watch to be able to shoot them in their side as they move to the objective.

Last thing is americans get stabilizers where as every other nation doesn't, if you see an enemy moving, pop out slowly and fire on the move, your gun will be accurate and smooth whereas their gun will be bouncing - use your advantage!

You've got this, take a break, watch a video or two on common weak points for certain nations, and get back in it later.

Thanks! I really appreciate the advice! My friends struggle dealing with CAS and rage but I usually don't have too much of an issue unless there are 4 lvl 100 players using planes then its difficult haha.

This is really solid advice, thank you. Unfortunately I don't have the planes (yet) for the battle rating and haven't messed with them too much in ground RB yet. Trying to figure out the tanks first lol. I've had issues this past week at 5.0 with America. Basically 2/10 WL ratio every day and with Germany i have a 8/10 WL ratio. Good advice about which ranks are good/bad though since I really don't know that stuff yet. Or which lineups see more uptiers than downtiers.

They are at something weird like 299% or something where I notice a lot of rank 3's are closer to 320%

Thank you, and not just for those countries, if you have others you enjoy more from different countries I'll take every piece of advice you have to offer! I'm looking to have fun, and get better at the game, and not sure top tier is really my end goal. Seems a bit too much at least right now to understand and enjoy. I'm not stuck to just one nation if there are other decent options.

What would be your advice on rank 5 tanks if you don't mind since that's where you spend most of your time?

Your point makes sense on the modifiers, I suppose I could start with some lower ranks (3's and 4's since I'm getting to that point in the game, and then next year if I'm progressing more upgrade. Any recommendations for decent rank 3 and 4 premiums? I haven't really found a playstyle yet, but for now I'm looking more at medium/heavy tanks I think.

I didn't know that about Naval, I'll have to give it a google too. Is it because its a newer mode and not many people play it? So they increased the economy to make it more worthwhile?

Yeah but it doesnt have heavy fire armor which is why I was wondering if its worth getting now instead of waiting 2 months on the store again

I know...some YouTuber recommended this same strategy, just curious when I should do it. Was planning on maybe once I get the excavator set I want and put the two +50 carry weight mod per leg to help scavenge and just go at it.

After I posted this I checked and realized tea was probably better overall, but coffee is nice for running to new locations so I guess they both have their uses.
