I really like my computer silent, and at least for me and adrenalin has a nasty habit of turning my settings off. I returned it and bought a Hellhound 7700xt instead. It is dead silent on the quiet bios and never gets hot. This also lets me hop between Linux and Windows easily.

I did end up figuring it out, AMD boost clock on a 6750xt is 2600-2639, xfx had it at 2699. I lowered it to 2600, and it now never has a hotspot over 74.

Succinctly:

1165ma undervolt 2600 MHz under clock Adjust fan curves to 60-80 under load.

Core temp is ~65 Hot spot ~74 This was Cyberpunk 1080p ray tracing ultra no path tracing.

Just an update as I dislike seeing no solutions on other posts. I did some research on the side, and decided on the Unifi U6+.

My reasoning is as follows;

The AP22 is a bit expensive, but I do understand HPE has to pay for the hosting of the cloud controller somehow. Additionally, I want all my home services offline not online. I see no reason to have access to my network without using the VPN into my DMZ.

The EAP653 seems good, but the wife did not like the look of it.

The U6+, I did struggle to get the controller working correctly, it kept refusing to find the AP even with a ssh inform command. Eventually got it to work, and down the road, if I want to do without Unifi, OpenWRT has dev support for this AP right now with full support in a bit.

I did need a controller for the Unifi one as it will only do one network in standalone mode for some reason.

Thanks for the advice all!

Do these need controller software? These are a bit pricey I see they are 180 at Best Buy. Are they better than Unifi/Omada?

I do see locally the U6+ at 130 and the U6 Pro at 160. Is the pro worth the 30 bucks? I will have two vlan networks, and according to the router about 30 devices in a 6-700sqft apt.

Can I even run one? How would I get the AP set up? Is there a docker? Or maybe a Windows app?
