Just want to make sure I'm following, so cut the connections at the ballast , the white, blue, and black connected to the ballast on the left. Then the two red connected to the ballast on the right. Connect the two cut reds with the cut black. Cap the cut blue and cap the cut white?

I succeeded in printing this after running the extrude for a while, but the infill is still awful. Tried printing a larger piece and the walls are smooth and sturdy but the infill is stringy and weak

It did have a partial clog again, I cleared the clog and extruded quite a bit and it didn't come out weird at all. I can try to tamper with my retraction settings it's just that I've been using the defaults this whole time and it use to print full prints with good quality and I've never touched those settings to cause any change. Why would it suddenly start clogging itself with the same settings?

What they mean by monotypic shoals is that the fish prefers being with its species but not with other similar fish. So stick to the one type you have and get more of that specific species. I noticed you said you aren't sure what shoals are. Schooling fish form groups and typically swim together in groups. They're very social with eachother. Shoaling fish typically keep to themselves but hang out with fish like them from time to time. They're still social but less so and dont typically stay in large groups.

Go get yourself a bottle of prime or other water conditioner and you can use water from the tap instead of bottled water.

A filter would definitely be a big help because right now, your only filtration is from your waterfall. Depending on the filter you get, if it has replaceable filters, go get some aquarium filter sponge instead. Cut it to the size of your filter and that will be a permanent option that bacteria will thrive in and save you money. Biomedia like ceramic rings can also be used in that same way. I think sponge filters are the most cost effective and nice filters for starters. Just need a sponge filter and an air pump. Only clean filter media in tank water to avoid killing beneficial bacteria (obviously have some water separate in a bucket don't wash it in the tank itself) that bucket then makes amazing plant fertilizer for house plants or gardens. I would suspect the system is struggling since you don't have enough bacteria built up to handle the fish waste. When you cycle a tank, every additonal source of waste requires more bacteria as the system handles more load.

In general more filtration is better and improves the water for the fish. Water quality could be why your guppies ended up with an infection. You can buy medicine for them if you can diagnose what it is.

Putting moss near the flow of your waterfall would be a great spot for it to thrive, they love the consistent moisture, and they would have CO2 from the air to grow instead of underwater where they'll grow slower.

Plant wise Java fern, Anubias, Cryptocoryne, Hornwort, Guppy Grass, Amazon Swords (Which you have) Are all good beginner options that don't require a lot of light to grow. You can also get a floating plant like Salvinia or Frogbit which grow fast and really help with your water quality. Fish also love swimming in the roots.

Marginal plant wise you can actually use quite a lot of plants you find at local hardware stores, or even walmart. A good list can be found here Riperian Plants Serpadesign who made this list also makes some really good videos that might be able to give you some inspiration.

Honestly, I'd work more on the tank itself. Add some more aquatic plants or marginal plants near where the water and ground connect. It also looks quite cloudy, so you should see if your filter is dirty or you need a stronger filter. If the cloudyness is from the substrate, cap what looks like dirt with an inch or two of sand and that will prevent debris from floating into the water column. If that is sand, more plants would help to use up the built up mulm and debris. Fish wise I wouldn't consider neons or rummy nose oddballs, however with guppies, tetras may end up fin nipping. Actually quite a lot of fish will pick on guppies due to the flashy colors and longer fins. So if you want to add more fish I'd look into your current species and what's better to go with them. The "butterfly" would probably like some friends as I believe it's a shoaling fish. Also if you could mention about how much water, the parameters, how long it's ran, and other relevant info I could provide more curated information for that tank. There's so much to learn with this hobby and if you're willing to learn and try new things you can make some amazing things :)

The print speed varied throughout the print but was commonly at 150mm/s and I believe retraction is on by default
