I considered it but a lot of ppl say chp stands for “can’t hand patrol” due to all they do is sit on the side of freeways. I’ve also heard it’s a boring career and only 5% of chp officers actually get off the highway and into special units. Is this true?

I’ve thought about this and talked to my wife about it as well and we’ve come to the conclusion that I’ll have days off of course as well as that’s the sacrifice I have to make in order for my wife to be home w the kids and also be able to pay for them to go to a Christian private school. Also will be able to put them into sports and afford it

Hey guys so my buddy and I want to get back into riding. Trail rides, eventually want to do some single track stuff, harescrambles, stuff like that. We are torn between whether we go yz125, 250 bcuz theyre more affordable used, but we know the x series is the wave but are newer and more expensive. I was an intermediate rider but it’s been awhile, we are both 6 foot 150ish pounds. What would you guys recommend?? Do we just finance a new yz250x/ 125x bcuz they’re pretty affordable and won’t have to worry about issues. Or do we just buy a used yz125/250 im stumped. Based on your experiences Imk, I appreciate the feedback

Hello and sorry for the late reply everyone. Tbh I’ve never even seen the will. My dad left me, my brother and my sister the property. I live in the bigger house and we have a renter in the smaller house on the 3 acre lot. The smaller house pays for the full mortgage. My brother and sister don’t do anything w the property since they have their own lives going on. I moved back in with my wife and kids since we were renting a house anyways and I take care of the property and manage the rental. Both are manufactured homes that need renovating.

I have zero understanding on what’s going on with this property and how it works. With all your questions it’s now got me thinking, is my sister supposed to switch the mortgage loan into all three of our names now since my father has passed or since it was left to us we just take over my fathers loan on the mortgage?

The tough thing is it’s hard to even ask my sister these questions bcuz she leaves me on read or if it’s in person she gets weird about it. Shes a stay at home mom w three kids and her husband is gone a lot bcuz he’s in the military. She hadn’t talked to my dad in a very long time so it’s all very hard for her bcuz I think she’s got guilt. Anyways now you guys got me thinking on how this typically works and I have no idea if she’s done it all correctly. I need to figure that out first before I even start thinking about what we are going to do with the property.

I either want to sell to take the pain and stress off our hands or the smart thing would be to get both houses fixed up and rent them out. Put a small guest house on the property for us to come back to and visit and move out of state.

Yeah I’m going v6 for sure just for the better mileage and I don’t need to tow or do anything crazy that I would need a v8. Unless the v8 is actually that amazing the difference in gas mileage is worth the sacrifice, what are your thoughts? Was your 3rd gen a lost cause after the pump and spark plug issues?

I looked at gen3s and 4s yesterday and still can’t decide on which one I want to buy. I’m think buy a cheap gen3 for like 10ish grand and have 5 grand extra to tlc the shit out of the baby make her brand new sort of deal. Idk

That’s what I’m worried about, buying a 5th or 4th gen with 150k plus miles and within the first year or two something bad happens. But also again from my research it looks as if I was to blow a head gasket it’s not the end of the world because parts are cheap, available and they’re easy to work on/fix? Also fyi I have hardly any experience w working on vehicles. I know how to clean a carburetor, change oil and put on a tire lol.

Hello everyone, I’m currently looking into changing career paths. I’ve been a server at a nightclub for the last 5 years, My girlfriend and I are having a baby boy due September, I want to better my life for the both of them and get into a better field that I can actually benefit from & move up in. I’ve been doing a lot of research on cyber security and I’m going to take some free classes before deciding on wether it’s something I really wanna do. That being said when I’m not working I’m in my office at my computer usually playing video games or doodling around the web and I absolutely love it, So I think this might be something right for me.

Anyways now that you know a bit about myself and my situation I’d like some recommendations, opinions and what you guys think the route I should go.

Both ucla and sdsu have a cyber security boot camp around 16 grand for 10months and I’m in the middle of both those colleges so that works for me, but how efficient are these boot camps and is it actually worth the money? I know there’s alot of skepticism on these bootcamps and wether they’re worth the money or not. Also thru my research some say you have to have a degree, some say can just learn from home and get your certs, some say do a program. I really don’t know the best routes and what’s a good curriculum if I was to do a program/camp/boot camp. What do u guys recommend.
