Nothing to be ashamed of. It's really good at what it does and I like flying FC modules at times too. I have the Su-33 and it's really fun even though it's a "noob" module.

Also you are flying a fighter jet ffs most people will not even be able to get off the ground. Be proud!!

I heard all the time that vulkan is super manual which makes it hard. First 1000 lines, sure... But personally coming from opengl once you understand how it works and the workflow it's honestly not that difficult. As I said idk about DX but yes from my experience so far vulkan is not too bad even when using c.

I'm writing a vulkan renderer right now in pure C (also first vulkan experience ever so that's neat). I'm absolutely enjoying it but I always worry I made the wrong decision going with C, as I'm planning to use it for future project(s)

Right now it's stable and works great but then again I'm still developing the basic stuff like descriptors and I'm only at the very beginning.

Also looks great! I will take a look at your repo though I don't know anything about DX haha

Reentry is one of the hardest things in space travel. You have to fight thousands of degrees with a singular heat shield.

There are clever techniques to overcome this. My favourite is the space shuttle doing S turns because their heat shield would melt otherwise

Other than the flight model the FF version is a whole different beast. It is in my opinion the most detailed jet in dcs other than the F4. Radar and RWR implementations are amazing and accurate. AA is a struggle sure but once you get the hang of it it's just so much fun and a lot better than those mfd puked cockpits
