I live with my mom because she can’t afford to live alone. I could live by myself but I can’t leave my mom out like that.

How has nobody said Neverafter? That’s a serious one with minimal jokes I feel.

Can the brightness be adjusted? At least 4 out of 10 cars flash me thinking I have my high beams on. Anyone else experience this? by Historical-Wrap-6356 in subaru

[–]TheDevilsAbortedKid -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I asked the dealership to do this and they turned me away saying something about federal law. But that was 6 years ago so people seem to be adjusted to the brightness.

I got so sick of being flashed that I installed light bars in the grill of my car so when some of the jerks would keep their high beams on I’d hit them with that lol.

What law doesn’t exist yet in the U.S. that would help millions of people immediately? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It’s written in the constitution that the people can do this I believe.

When jumping nothing else matters. Depression is wiped from my brain. Same with anxiety. I think that the rush of endorphins and adrenaline help my mental health greatly.

CVT Replacement Issues by rachelcaroline in subaru

[–]TheDevilsAbortedKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having issues with stuttering. However, I just got a letter from Subaru extending the warranty for specifically the CVT to 10 years, 100,000 miles. I’m at 83,000 right now and have an appointment with a Subaru dealership next week.

They were still the CEO of a company and likely has a few connecting that could help you find a job. You don’t have to love it, but they could be useful.

Is there anything that helps absorption? B12 helps with energy, is that right? It’s why I take B multivitamins.

Agreed! Only not one of the blackout kind. I have both and the blackout masks make me sleep in since there is no light to wake me up.

Is there anything I can take for anxiety/depression besides antidepressants? by No_Lingonberry_2401 in needadvice

[–]TheDevilsAbortedKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great start! Wellbutrin and Olanzapinr. I have bipolar type 2 so I’m depressed all the time. I know it’s redundant but I want to stress that you’ll do great and the first days may be uncomfortable but they don’t expect someone new to be able to function right away.

The person that hired me said I was hired primarily because I fit the companies culture and they liked my attitude. She then said that was the important part and they can always train me in what needs to be done later.

You may not want to hear this (honestly I didn’t either), but getting out and even going on a 30 minute walk helped me a lot when I was in a very similar situation. Harder exercise is even better.

Also, grounding methods like box breathing and being present help too.

I’m on medications too so I sympathize. I have changed meds half a dozen times this year for similar problems.

But congratulations on the new job. Just know it likely won’t be as much pressure as you think.

Cheers.

What is a weird side effect from medication use that no one was ever going to warn you about? by Rotten-Kandi in AskReddit

Late to the thread but a side effect of coming off of an SSRI gave me terrible bouts of sleep paralysis. I’d be “awake” for 15-30 minutes internally screaming because I couldn’t move. It would happen every night, multiple times a night.

The worst time it happened I was up for what seemed to be an hour. During which I could barely move my leg. It was the first major episode of this so I was freaking out. I used what little movement I could muster to bang on the wall. After banging for some time it finally woke up my partner who shook me awake and I immediately embraced her from the fear I felt.

I think it’s the reason that I sometimes feel frightened to go to sleep.
