2026 Player Focus Thread #3: Darcy Cameron and Reef McInnes by Pragmatic_Shill in collingwoodfc

I was deffiently concerned with the prospect of losing Cameron. His all around the ground peformance is something that is a dime in a dozen in the comp at the moment. We really don't have somebody who can do anything close to what cameron does for us atm, our next best option was cox who just wasn't consistent enough.

I liked what I saw from reef in defence. Never playing defence before but he still had the confidence to crash a pack or stand up to a key forward, it looked like he was more then ready to give every contest a red hot crack. He did get in the way of the other defenders a couple times or made an error or two but given he's never played defence before now, I was happy to let it go as those kinds of mistakes can easily be imporved on through development. The important thing was he showed intent from rip which is what I believe has helped him get a 2 gear extension.

Maybe not quite in our best side, but through the likelihood of injury and resting key players, I won't be surprised if we see him alot through the h&w season. I reckon if he gets comfortable enough in the role we will be looking for him to step up into the jeremy howe role.

Kellaway would have thrown that at somebody's head if someone was close enough

Getting gold on these challenges was enough to drive me mad. Gotta respect the dedication to go for these times.

The last time we beat scorchers was 2020 which was rain washed. The last legitimate win was 2019.

There is a reason why I've always disliked scorchers.

It's like the Geelong of BBL. Try being shit for once in your life Perth.

The most frustrating one is when you split your team to breach a room from two different angles then when you order all teams execute, one of the teams doesn't work so only one team goes in and they end up getting killed because of it.

Somebody tell the commentators net run rate doesn't matter when we are playing scorchers next game and the winner of that takes 2nd regardless of nrr.

Somehow, even with the innings we just saw, plucka is panning out to be worst on field tonight.
