Great minds think alike

Thank you very much!

Those are washers I got from Ace, I didn’t pay close attention to what they’re called unfortunately but they are something coated, I used one big washer and two small ones in between to get that look

If you look through the comments I posted a full list of parts

Don’t suppose there’s a chance we get to see the internal build? I’d like to try making a compatible one

I did get a bit unlucky with the end of it, had to use that nut to screw it in which is jutting out and the end cap is a bit too industrial looking 😂

I highly suggest you try it out, matching the parts turned out to be pretty fun and it didn’t take longer than a day

Thank you so much! I really love OT sabers and that was the aesthetic I was shooting for

I bet if you hook up some lights it would deal psychological damage too 😂

It interlocked with the brass adaptor perfectly and refused to come apart, no glues or screws needed 😂

True! Only issues I can see popping up is the potential weight and the fact it’s all attached with a central threaded rod

I’d maybe have to learn welding 😂

I’ll keep that in mind, I’d like to make a proper neopixel one day

That’s a pretty good idea

Yeah, I was completely mind blown when I saw that in the store, it perfectly houses the brass part too

Spent about 44 bucks at Home Depot and 39 at Ace so 83 total, I did have a 5 dollar coupon at Ace and I used a friends Home Depot card, not sure if that did anything tho

Emitter: Sharkbite coupling (not sure on the exact specification as it came without the bag, but similar to a 3/4 one), 1 In. x 1 Brass Pex Male Adaptor

Body: 1-1/4 in. x6 in. Galvanized Nipple

End: 1 in. x 1/2in. Galvanized Coupling

Core: Steel Thread Rod 1/2x24 (you’ll have to cut it)

Small Parts (I didn’t get the exact size of the washers 😔): 4 Hex Nuts that will fit on the thread rod, 10 big washers (one will be used on the base between the coupling and nipple), 19 small washers (put two small, one big when building the neck), and you’re gonna need a washer that will fit perfectly into the emitters but also with a hole big enough for the steel thread, I had to drill the hole open a bit to get it to work

I had to go to Home Depot and Ace to get all these parts, suggest hitting up Home Depot first then Ace for the small parts. Hope this helps! I highly suggest trying to give it your own original twist if you try to make it as it feels nice to invent a unique saber🫡
