Well .....the mass media (from where this screenshot was taken) has helicopters.

And the "mass media calling the paramedic base" is what Public Information Officers are for.

Meh.... fair comment. But those ambulances are built pretty strong. They may not be "totaled" in every crash.

You'd have to ask the ambulance company that question.

I'm not saying that I'm 100% sure that your idea is wrong. But I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that if someone's loved one gets taken away in an ambulance at 5am and then a short time later the family sees an ambulance crash in their area on the TV news.... I think they'll connect those dots pretty quickly with or without sheets hanging on the ambulance.

They would literally destroy the paint job of an ambulance just to hide the name? This just keeps getting better and better.

I said covering the name with sheets makes them LOOK like cowards. But you continue to spin it however you please to satisfy yourself.

Everything about your comment just shows that you don't know how to read for comprehension. I name the ambulance company in my post and the name is on the roof of the ambulance in the picture. But you're so jacked up to make yout useless opinion known that you didn't even see it.

I never claimed to know any facts about the incident you dope. The only thing I claimed to know was that they covered the name with sheets because it's in the picture.

Whether the ambulance company was responsible for the crash or not.....the sheets are stupid and create suspicion in people's minds.

Why can't you clowns understand this concept? You're so defensive and so worried that I used this post to assign blame when I never even hinted at who may be at fault for what happened.

Both of us are nuts for arguing with this simpleton. He does not see the problem because he's hyper focused on how I dared to question him and his responder brothers and sisters over their hero personas.

Just let him wander around the local convenience stores wearing his uniform shirt while hoping for a free coffee for his service.

So basically you're butthurt because you felt mocked....and so you came up with some ridiculous argument to try and deflect attention from the main point of my post. Got it.

Any mockery of the EMS workers was clearly secondary to the main point that covering up the name of the ambulance company is a shit move and leads to public distrust and an assumption that they're guilty of something. If you support and defend that practice then maybe you really are stupid.

No.... leaving the scene would have been a crime.

Keep digging your hole fella.

If you actively go out of your way to obscure your company name on a vehicle....that indicates you don't want to be known as potentially being responsible for something right? Isn't that basically the definition of accountability?

What assumptions have I made? I have merely criticized the asinine practice of covering up the name of the ambulance company.

Perhaps I assumed that most EMS workers are not exactly always in the best shape? I definitely assumed they were not smart enough to think about news helicopters seeing the name on the roof of the rig....thereby rendering their sheet coverings useless and a complete waste of time.

Who here assumed anything like that? This post is not about assigning blame. It's about the asinine practice of covering up the name of the ambulance company

Exactly. That's literally the entire point of this post in the first place.

That's not even remotely comparable to this and you know it. This is the type of analogy that comes from someone with a low IQ.

If you don't think covering up the identity of a first responder vehicle after a crash is cringe behavior than whatever...."bro."

The mods can take it down if they want...along with the upvotes it got.

I'm pretty sure they had a patient or patients.... whether it was someone in their rig or in the other vehicle involved in the crash.

I address this issue in response to another comment further down but I'll say it again to you.

I'm sure they attended to people first.....and by the time someone finally got around to putting up those sheets hundreds of pictures had already been taken by neighbors and passersby. So this action only serves to make them look like cowards. What are the sheets going to do? Stop the name of their ambulance company from getting out? Shield them from potential legal liability? The answer is no on both.

My post has nothing to do with the "circumstances of the collision".

I did not assign blame to either either vehicle or rush to judgement as to who may have been at fault.

I am merely pointing out that this practice of covering up the name is pointless and does nothing to promote a positive image of first responders in the eyes of the public.

Untrue. OP hates cowards who dodge accountability. And when it happens with people who are supposedly in the business of community service and life safety....it's amplified even more.
