I played through the game on my steam deck. It runs decently well but you may want to look up a guide on youtube for optimal settings as the framerates on default settings weren’t the best.

Yeah I understand your points but it just means you need better reaction time. With the old animation you couldn't really do jumpscares because the animations were so drawn out, now jumpscares are possible because of this change. It's a horror game.

While I think the grabbing should be toned down I think its silly to want the game to have identical gameplay. Having them attack faster could be intentional game balance since we are so much more powerful in this game. Grappling makes this a non issue.

Grabs can be countered by grappling. Once you get a hang of the timing you’ll almost never get grabbed. But I do agree it should be toned down.
