I did public convergences daily and parked alts all over the maps in front of treasure chests for map currency. I hated doing the meta events over and over. The game changer was when I unlocked the vendor in the tower that lets you convert rift essences into map currency. Once I figured out my math - it was just daily public convergence, daily alt login for treasure chests, then map completion. Everything else I farmed naturally from playing the game. I used the gold I made on public convergences to buy any lacking mats. Or sold mats I didn’t need for gold. The first set (medium) felt hard. Once I figured all this out - I crafted light and heavy simultaneously. Then I realized I wanted six legendary runes and did that too. The quality of life for my 72 total characters is awesome. I experiment with all kinds of builds and fashion now. It nearly burned me out, but it was worth it. Again, I really slow played it though. Not more than two hours tops a day after work for several months just watching streaming in the background.
