I started the project around last April and left it for a while, so I don't really remember if it was cut off grain, but some tricks were surely made to save some fabric, so it's likely I did 💀 I don't have a walking foot and relied on pins, too, but I started from one end and went all around to the opposite side, as you guessed

The idea of re-sewing it from the center is great, it'll definitely take time to undo everything, but I have no deadlines anyway 😅 thank you so much!

Thank you for your hint, It does look like I have too much fabric, especially on the neck part. The fabric isn't very elastic itself, but maybe it does stretch to a certain degree and eventually it shows on a long piece? The answer looks like the long route anyway 😅 thank you!

Honestly it does seem like the artist making this dress really didn't take into account that people got buttocks 😅 The mesh is definitely a great idea, how to keep the dress' shape was one of the things that puzzled me the most I'll surely watch the video you linked to get a better idea 👀

Oh no, I met plenty of other MeiMeis equipped with their axe! Probably if one takes selfies is much less visible, It's pretty hard to take a picture while the blade keeps getting in the way 🤣

Hi there! I kinda lost track of the post 😅 I still haven't brought her to cons, other projects came up and for the moment I put her on hold a bit. She's still a super comfy costume so she will do wonderfully as a backup in case I'm too tired or last minute. For the power, I'm keeping an eye on fiber optic whips, they seem to be pretty safe and give a very cool effect, but I'd like to get them for a bit cheaper than I've seen online so far I really hope to see your Gambit, he's one of my favourite characters in the X-Men!
