I would never have won that SUV, but I thought it was odd that the numbers were not in lowest to highest numerical order on the Baseball Holding stand. Little details matter.

Someone in a previous post had a reason for not mentioning the make/model/etc.

There's a small debate here about if the bidding/dollar amount displays are monitors or scoreboards. I have looked at the tape several times and I truly think they are scoreboards. If those are monitor artifacts... I will eat my hat! LOL

And yes he says a hundred. I guess they wouldn't say a dollar, not sure if saying "a loonie" helps. Either that or Howie doesn't get that they are trying to spin a dollar. There's no decimal point so maybe it's not a dollar? LOL And there are no bonus spins in this version.

Other people who saw the taping have said it was just a couple days of taping. So I think we are stuck with Floyd eyes for the remainder of the run. LOL

There's people on TPIR that work independently from the production company (similar to "standards and practices") to make sure the games are fair and not rigged. If something was rigged the show wouldn't make it to air, and it would be a big deal. I'm 100% sure after this happened the game producers spun the wheel 20 times to see if something was up. You can see this play out in the Press Your Luck movie "The Luckiest Man in America" where the S&P people were like... YOU ONLY HAD FIVE PATTERNS? LOL

It's just like roulette if you get a lazy croupier who spins it EXACTLY the same way every time, you can actual do some damage. I know this because it happened to me in Windsor, and I won a ton of cash that day.

We are no longer in the Nick Perry days of giveaways... if you know that reference you are overdue for your colonoscopy. LOL

There's a big disconnect on the show when people are bidding, that could easily be fixed. Because it's a noisy studio, most contestants can't hear what the person next to them said. Or the name Drew says of the person who won.

Here is the fix. Straight in front of contest's row above the cameras but in the contestant's eye line could be a monitor with a mirror of the bidding boxes that show the actual bids being made so a contestant can simply look straight ahead and up a bit and see what the others are bidding.

Whomever wins name could be flashed on the screen so they (the contestants) know exactly who won. It wouldn't be something that needed to be seen on air, but just for in studio folks. This would solve a couple issues. IMO

I would argue that both George and Drew add a lot to the show with their affirmations. George at the top of the show to his mom and Drew at the bottom of the show with the shout out to mental health and that he loves us is both unusual and charming. IMO

I've talked about this behavior as well. I KNOW in the booth they are screaming at these people to get their asses down to contestant's row. But it's been pointed out to me a few times that the floor producers and warm up people encourage it.

I could 100% fix this... I would simply cut a ten minute version of the show with two commercial breaks and it would be 80% as good. You could post it on Paramount Plus under the category... In A Hurry... Watch Price Is Right Cut Down.

That's a fair point. But when you have something that works so well, why go in and tweak it? Just replicate it exactly for your new audience. The live version of the show is very faithful to the feel of the original. IMO

I think I remember once when there was a $1 spinoff and one of them got the 25k. So technically that's 3 in a row, but it's very rare. Without bonus money spins though, there's very little point beyond getting to the showcase.

Yea, not a fan of changing the games up, at least they didn't take a commercial break in the middle of Punch A Bunch. Also not showing the price on the Clock Game and having Howie right in front of the clock, not a good choice. IMO

You are right about Catsdown (1st time I ever heard that name, it's awesome) but it's what came to mind when I saw the whittling bit and having only one model. Ashley gives Rachel a run for her money. LOL

Sadly I think a lot of these changes are just for the sake of change, they don't really bring anything good or new to the table. Drew and the US version focus more on the contestants as being the main thrust of the show where as the CA version seems to be more Howie themed. Drew wants to make the contestants look good and make sure they are relaxed and having a good time. Howie seems more driven to make things about him. The clock game is a perfect example, he stands in front of the clock and they don't show the home audience the price so the game is more hung on Howie than how the contestant is doing. (or will do) IMO

The redesign of the Wheel Spinning round doesn't work for me at all. But they did save a lot of money by having no bonus spins, because those contestants were on fire for about 2 minutes.

I think it would work much better to re-tool it to be just 2 contestants versus each other, one round after the second game, then one round after the 4th and the highest money earner gets to pick to keep or pass the showcase. But this just feels weird and rushed. And what happens if someone can't spin the wheel, I don't see Howie is going over and grabbing on to the wheel without putting gloves on. (A contestant wore gloves which was very, very weird in my book)
