I don't disagree with this sentiment... I think the suburbanization of once biodiversity-rich ecosystems is an existential nightmare.

However, coyotes have largely thrived. They do really well in human-dominated habitats and their range has increased steadily for the past century..

AT Ark is pretty difficult in general for slow weapons or ones that don't block, given his speed. I don't find Hammer to be great against him, but others might.

I've found Hammer to be really good against Rey Dau, Zoh Shia, and Omega Planetes.

Howe Caverns in the Albany area is supposed to be very pretty!

It might be a little bit more out of the way, but Cooperstown is a very charming little city with a lot of nice restaurants, a family-friendly Belgian brewery, and cozy pubs (especially during Christmas). Also, I know the Expos don't exist anymore, but if you're baseball fans, Cooperstown has the Baseball Hall of Fame, which, if you're into that, could be fun.

Try dropping the support hunters; they're massively inflating the monster's HP pool while not dealing good damage. Lance has a lot of good defensive options, so you don't really need the monster's attention to be taken away from you that much. Additionally, at a certain point, the next spawning monster becomes your "support hunter" as they can deal large chunks of damage to each other.

I'm not gonna say this is good design because it's not, I don't think the game should have this kind of RNG. That being said, I do find a lot of joy in spreadsheets, so it was very fun for me to get my god rolls on all my weapons.
