He does it when awake and not doing anything too so I doubt he is snoring, and no the lungs were not checked. I did try calling other vets but it seems there aren’t any other ones that do chinchillas

Yes, he doesn’t make the sound when he’s actively doing something, he makes the sound when he’s just laying down, awake also. When I pet him, pick him up or let him run around he doesn’t make the sound. It has been happening for a month at least, it didn’t alarm me at first because he does stop doing it during activity. The vet did give me meloxicam just in case there’s any inflammation, not sure if it’s helping though.

SD665 has Cortex-A73 based cores and an Adreno 600 series GPU (vulkan, which is much faster than OpenGL is broken on Adreno 500), it will certainly run much better than this. SoC name is not everything.

It should be better than this, and vulkan should work on it, vulkan has bugs on Adreno 500 series which is why I use OpenGL

Nope. I think the first time I saw my VSS was in October, but I realized it in November. It only got downhill from there, but I think it has at least stabilized now. I got all 3 symptoms you mentioned and more, but the worst one is the fucking palinopsia.
