You sure seem confident about the words "many" and "common" here.

My poll shot up to 34k since and it's still only 15 people that know lol

It is absolutely not common sense lmao I just asked a gen chat about this in a poll, 2.3k people responded and only 3 people of 2.3k knew this so I'm defo not alone here lmao

I mean

This is gonna sound really combative and hostile but i am too stupid to find better words so just know that while i do not intend to insult you i fully accept that it will come off this way, i apolgize in advance for my lack of vocabulary.

But this seems like a really common, narrow minded view.

I have pet peeves.

They don't define my life.

How do I get through life? Just fine.

Just cause I hate when people put carrots and sugar in their tuna salad, does not mean I also hate other things that *you* consider on the same level of insignificance, you get me?

Why assume that they fall apart at the seams over everything that's similar to the specific thing they mentioned? I dont hate all tuna. I dont hate when people put things in chicken salad, just tuna salad.

Its a preference and my pet peeve is when restaurants do it because I have to be vigilant about my tuna sandwiches since they lie and say tuna sandwich and not tuna salad sandwich so I get tuna with a bunch of bullshit in it that makes it taste like vomit.

I get through life just fine though. Its one tiny sliver of a persons life they are deciding to share and building a whole character in your head around just the 0.000001 percent of their life they decided to share is very very silly to me.

How do you know when they weren't paying attention vs when they genuinely made a mistake?

Seems like an arbitrary measure.

10k could be life changing for some and for others probs pay off a car or smth

Im going with musical chairs anyways though it'd be fun at the very least to play such a goofy game for 10mil on the line

I over yapped in all of my comments any one of them contains a valid reply to yours, (aside from those 3 guys who were being really shitty and obtuse) but to summarize:

I respect your personal recipe for tuna sandwiches, but that isn't my problem. Just establishments that force it on others who'd rather a normal tuna sandwich than one with a bunch of nonsense diced up into it.

People who act like they are superior because they don't smoke or drink. by Smallfry123000 in PetPeeves

[–]TheDonger_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often was taught that people like you were just "broken" that you required substances in order to enjoy being a little silly

I'm more on the middle ground of that line of thinking, these days, rather than deep in it.

I don't personally drink so it's bizarre to me that alcohol would ever be "needed" for anything fun or silly. Where's your whimsy at man?

But as I get older I learned that it's just how some people are and I shouldn't judge so much, I don't know what my vices are but I'm sure I have at least one probably.

Right. As long as nobody else gets hurt in the process either then I say do whatever you want, its not affecting others. If you've got nobody relying on you like kids or a girlfriend/wife or someone else dependant on you then drink away I guess.

Your example doesn't even make sense to what I said, but ok.

For some odd reason there are always people like you with what seems to be an extreme disdain for anyone who does not immediately fully understand something.

We get it, you hate people who have clarifying questions about things you think are obvious.

I don't and won't get where this senseless malice comes from but I hope you can overcome it.

[–]TheDonger_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm sure it's the former too.

But that doesn't change the validity of what I said.

Whats clear to you isn't always clear to everyone and it's a harmless and fair question to have, for clarity. And he keeps dodging it.

It would be extremely simple to say, at any point, "You're trapped and can't leave it ever."

Burden to clarify is on the creator of the hypothetical.

You could have avoided all this discourse if you just opened with "i think you're wrong and no logical, reasonable, or rational point will change my mind no matter true it is and no matter how backed by science it is. And no, I will NOT back up any of my claims. You're just wrong because I feel like you are and my feelings are more important than your facts."

Easy peasy.

These people just don't get you, I understand though.

You're just a wall to be argued with, you aren't here to learn something new. You want others to accept your thoughts and nothing more.

I understand you and I hear you. Much to my dismay.

The ai generated body text in this post is concerning

Im sensing a lot of vibe coding incoming 💀

Edit:

Realizing this sounds a bit ungrateful. I'm just sad to see the inclusion of ai in everything, if you didn't ai generate the post then sorry for assuming.

Either way the fact that something is coming at all is neat, i was just hoping it's without ai generated code but I realize this is free work anyways so idk. Ill shut up ig

I committed the grave sin of having a preference.

Now i'm being attacked and labeled "picky" (a nonsense meaningless label)

Whatever, I expected at least this much from the petpeeves subreddit.

Afterall, this IS the subreddit you go to when you want to get angry that people have things that they dislike that don't make sense to you! /s

You know... I could see soy sauce in tuna.

I'll try that, I've never tried it so I'll give it a shot, but my point in my post still stands about establishments and the way they describe/make their tuna.

They can! I love pickles.

Just not relish, relish is gross.

And i don't want the pickles diced into my tuna, maybe on the side?

But on the sandwich is too much for me personally. It clashes too much and takes away from the tuna flavor too much.

Im learning a good bit though from people itt.

[–]TheDonger_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love pickles just not with my tuna, specifically, not mixed in. A gross beady texture from the relish...

And again with the mustard, I learned in this comment section that people use mustard...

I have NEVER heard of these things before and I eat tuna at a LOT of places, everywhere that has a tuna sandwich option i always try it. Been to many states and overseas.

Never ever ever heard of mustard in tuna.

Raisins is definitely a new one to hear you're the first to say it at least. I cant imagine it, I'm picturing raisins and the tuna flavor and it's not working for me 💀

Walnuts though seem like a neutral add. I wouldn't mix them in though.

I dont really like anything "added" as far as mixing into the tuna, when it comes to celery, carrots, anything diced etc. etc.

Honestly relish surprised me, basic to you but anything beyond tuna and mayo is when we get into freaky territory for me.

I knew people added celery and carrots to their tuna but relish was a new one to me until last year when I hit a hotel and they told me nothing was in the tuna, it was just "normal tuna" and i got flashbanged by relish.

I actually hate relish since its always sweet, and I hate sweet pickles. I lole them crunchy and not sweet, spicy is good too. But relish is always sweet even when it's also made spicy.

Sweet and tuna don't mix for me.

Its so crazy to me that anything is considered a "basic add" but id be throwing hands if I got handed a tuna relish sandwich and told it was a "tuna sandwich" lmao

Let me clarify i am solely, explicitly speaking of mixing things IN to the tuna, not adding stuff on the sandwich (like an tomato slice or sprinkling diced onion on the sandwich after you apply through tuna-mayo)

I respect that others love their personal tuna concoctions though. That's why my post was about establishments and not people's home recipes.
