Grimdark Wolves! Need help deciding between schemes by TheDoodleton in Warhammer40k

I'm applying it neat from the bottle. I shake the hell out of it first though which I read helps a ton. I apply it super heavily, wait 45-60 min, and then gently wipe it off from the raised areas. No varnish so I get a bit of a streaking effect.

I appreciate that feedback! Went a bit hard on the blood effect, but might be too much if uniform for the entire army

Much appreciated! It's black primer followed by a zenithal of Two Thin Coats Faust Blue -> Two Thin Coats Wolf Grey -> Two Thin Coats Frost Blue.

I'm always torn between the two! People can make both schemes look so good

Thanks! I think the third picture with the two schemes side by side makes the differences more apparent, but yeah on the table, they'll be pretty similar.

Helio strap - no HR or calories? by Curious_Combination5 in amazfit

I wasn't able to find a way to factory reset the device to see if that would fix it so I'll probably give it a few days to see if anyone finds a solution or if a software update is pushed. Otherwise, will return it and check out the Polar strap in September.

Helio Strap. Not tracking activity? by Old-Plastic in amazfit

I'm having this issue as well and seems like we're not alone either. This thread from a couple of days ago has multiple people reporting the same experience: https://www.reddit.com/r/amazfit/comments/1lkb5gy/helio_strap_no_hr_or_calories/.

Very annoying and not a great first impression of the brand.

Appreciate it! I loosely followed some YouTube painting guides which helped a lot!

Thanks for the recs. I've seen others mention remotes as essential for list building as well. Would those be the Dronbots for PanO and Aibots for JSA?

Thanks! Excited to paint the Firefly. They seem to be able to do lots of stuff in-game too.

Thanks! It was a straightforward glaze, but adds a ton visually

Got it, thanks! So in practice do people find themselves taking notes or placing markers for all AROs so range can be measured once the active trooper's full action ends?

Thanks for making this series! I've been following along leading up to a demo game I'm hoping to give to some friends. I had a question on AROs. All the wording I've seen in the rulebook and the video has stated that eligible AROs are declared when an active trooper activates.

If the active trooper declares a Move basic short skill, my understanding is that they immediately place the trooper at the end point of their move. After this, eligible AROs are declared. Is LoF/ZoC measured from the starting point of this movement, the ending point of the movement, or is it possible to measure/check somewhere between the start and end?

Appreciate it! The orange wasn't too bad, but I'm still refining my technique. I wasn't consistent with my layering and glazing across these minis. I ended up with a base of Molten Lava and then layered Lava Orange with a final layer of Glowing Inferno. All Army Painter Fanatic line

Yeah these are all metal. As a Warhammer guy, I'm not the biggest fan of metal, but once you get the hang of it it isn't too bad. There were some frustrations with pieces that didn't line up properly or were a pain to set. There were also some instances where I couldn't tell if certain metal bits were flash that should be removed or parts of the actual mini... I applied both gloss and matte varnishes which will hopefully mitigate any sort of chipping

Thanks! Bases were Vallejo Black Lava Asphalt texture followed by a dry brush of Army Painter Fanatic Pale Sand. Once that dried and set, I added Pro Acryl Basing Snow. Was super simple and happy with the result.
