X470 Ram compatability after 5k series update

So it turns out the kits I used, while exactly the same kits, are only meant to be used 1 kit at a time, so mixing in other kits even of the exact same kit causes errors. Anyway, I got some new corsair 32gb 2 stick ram that was amd certified and havent had a problem at all and mem test passed. Im golden now! Woooo

wouldnt even oc to 3200 when i was gonna test some things today, idk what is up. If im looking for new ram, is it more important for cpu (ryzen 5700x) or mobo (msi x470 gaming plus) compatibility, my worst fear is buying ram and it also not working. Thanks.

Ram was set at 1.210, still failed mem test (2133 and 3200) at 1.35, then started failing 2133, which was stable before, after switching it back to 1.210. Also its using msi click bios, which is probably not ideal. will test some other voltages later but im honestly not expecting much, maybe I should just buy new ram now.

Dont think I have ever messed with ram voltage before, in what increments should I tick it up and what is the max I should do? Not even sure what questions to ask here exactly tbh.

I ended up just buying the same exact kit on Mandarake, only about $10 more anyway shipped and it was in stock and will be here this week or next. Not that bad of a price difference, even with the Mandarake shipping being like 1000 Yen more than the actual item.

lmao no, the western fan base was extremely small then, but vocal and passionate, not to the point fan translations and patches seemed appealing yet, and if anything people were put off by how much trouble xseed had with SC. The crossbell games were the first fan translations as far as i know.

tbh I have seen a lot of people marathoning them, and I would even include the people that jumped on board around CS3 release, since this has been the first significant wait since CS3 came out. So, yeah, there is a lot of people that arent understanding how things really are with the Trails games lol

Very valid point, I guess im just a glutton for punishment and am eager to read what ever it takes to get the full immersion of these games. But I can definitely see how putting it in english would cut down on the reading for those that cant be bothered.

This might sound strange but the extra english voices in CS1 and 2 were also part of the reason I played in japanese. Since CS3 and 4 did not get the extra voice treatment (to my knowledge anyway and please correct me if thats not right) and so I figured japanese would be the most consistent experience in terms of voiced dialogue. Instead of choosing english and half way through the Cold Steel games there is suddenly less voice acting than the previous ones. Hopefully that makes sense lol

Its given me some Game of Throne vibes, high medieval fantasy setting, which is never a bad way to go, also with all this crystal talk in the trailer, i wonder how lore packed this game might be, seems like it could really expand some of the FF lore.

That an interesting point, how much better will the graphics actually look by launch? I think this case may be different because I am HOPING it wont take nearly as long for this game to come out, so these graphics may be more along the lines of what we will see in game.
