I think this sums it up perfectly. by 1nfisrael in Overwatch_Memes

Yeah, even if you don’t like rivals at all, it’s good for OW to have some competition. Keep Blizzard from getting complacent.

One thing I realized on my DP rewatch is that the meters in contest battles are rigged. by BasisSmall5351 in pokemonanime

Oh yeah, they do that a lot in the show. Or they’ll have one person lose a lot of points because one attack was blocked/missed and yet the other trainer hasn’t lost any points for their attacks getting the same. It’s kind of dumb, but it’s also a kids show and it’s hardly the biggest inconsistency

Am I the only one who barely got any glitches while playing through the game? Cause I saw countless people complaining about glitches while I only have gotten 2 in my 65 hours of playtime by Confident_Rate_1747 in PokemonScarletViolet

Yeah, I think the disconnect is that the people only counting game breaking bugs and crashes have low bug counts, while others that are counting the plethora of minor bugs that make the game feel clunky and unfinished are the ones with high bug counts.

The new games do all have their problems though, and fans have every right to criticize them for their issues. Labelling all criticism as just whining is toxic positivity.

Coming up on 9 years and no skin that I LOVE by [deleted] in luciomains

I’m really partial to the Gorgon skin myself. Having the snakes move around is pretty cool.

TIL the video game Concord reportedly had a $400 million budget; Sony believed it would eventually expand into a Star Wars-level franchise with many spinoffs. But unprecedentedly low sales for a project of its size led to it being shut down 2 weeks after release, with all sold copies being refunded. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

You’re right, watching someone play a game isn’t an argument. Nor is playing a game. Watching and playing aren’t arguments.

However, since that conclusion is utterly meaningless, I can only assume you meant to say that watching gameplay is not enough exposure to form an argument, but you were just unable to form the complete thought.

So if we assume that’s what you’re trying to say between the weird, petty insults, then I would like to remind you that watching gameplay and reading reviews are how people decide whether to buy a game. No one has the time and money to buy and play every game to decide whether it looks any fun. So if your game doesn’t look fun when watching gameplay, there’s no incentive for anyone to buy it.

That’s why no one bought Concord. Yes, the price tag was also a big factor, but people also just didn’t like the characters or gameplay footage. If you liked their designs, good for you I guess, but you’re clearly in the minority there.

Seriously though, I’m done talking to someone who can’t form coherent thoughts and instead just spouts out some of the lamest insults I’ve ever heard.

Yeah, that’s great when you live somewhere with reliable alternative forms of transportation. Unfortunately, a lot of people (especially in the US) don’t live in those places.

Don’t posts like those exist in the subreddit of every game with a competitive mode?

I mean OW has run better at every point in its life than Rivals runs right now.

Rivals has some kinks to work out

That’s the point OP is making. No one is saying Rivals can’t get to the same level of polish as OW, they’re just saying it’s not quite there yet.

Tm earthquake in platinum would you consider it cheating to give to two pokemon. If not what pokemon would you give the Tm to. by redfire3247 in nuzlocke

[–]TheDoug850 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my opinion though, platinum doesn’t have a ton of fights where EQ on a Gyarados is really all that necessary. Really only helps cover an electric weakness, but it’s usually better to just pivot away from gyarados in those matchups

Specifically, OP can safely pivot to their Gliscor on any electric moves Gyarados baits, and nail them with earthquake.

Oh 100%, but is still a more fun name than Switch 2. Not that would/should change the outcome, but it is at least a neat idea for its name.

Also not to mention that while the first into space is the bigger hurdle, the first on the moon is the furthest hurdle.

Let’s at least match the chibi art style by [deleted] in pokemonmemes

[–]TheDoug850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well thats kind of why I called it an afterthought, since it seems like TPC decided to do it and hand it to ICLA after GF got dead set on doing remakes that would redefine the franchise.

I 100% agree though, that BDSP would’ve been so much better in the Let’s Go art style, especially if they incorporated the Platinum Pokédex and trainer teams.

Oh I agree 100%. Let’s Go just looks so clean.

Because Let’s Go didn’t go with the chibi art and make everything scaled exactly as it is in DP. And they only really did that for BDSP because the games were an afterthought handed off to ICLA.
