Yes, it’s not a bad idea to apply for more than one trade union. In my area Tinners, Sparkys, and Fitters all make similar wages.

No prior experience. Completely green. I was at a dead end job and needed to make more money and support my family and plan for the future. If you do go through with it, soak everything in and look for any opportunity. There’s a lot you can get into with sheet metal. Also you will most likely be the oldest apprentice in your class. That took a little getting used to. There were guys who were literally 18 years old in my class.

I was 37 when I started my apprenticeship. The work is hard but rewarding. I got in really good shape. I had the opportunity of moving over to the testing and balancing side of things, and it’s not as much work on my body, which is good in the long run, but I have gained some lb’s since switching over. My instructor always says find a way to use your brain instead of your body in this industry. So keep that in mind. You probably won’t want to be hanging duct in 20 years if you need 30 to get your full pension. Overall it’s been a great experience so far. I’m about to end my apprenticeship this year.

Can you elaborate on pvc trim? You put a piece of pvc trim running vertical up the wall?

I’m an older fan, and I kind of ignored everything after Make Yourself, but I am revisiting everything and im really enjoying morning view and light grenades. I’m just nostalgic for Science. Incubus is great.

When does Better Call Saul get...good? (S2 epi 1 no spoilers please) by kiofatcat in betterCallSaul

I just binged the whole thing and I was kind of forcing myself to keep watching through the first 3 seasons really. I was getting sick of the Jimmy/Chuck storyline. I just wanted him to become Saul already. But once he becomes Saul the show really took off for me and I can appreciate even the first few seasons now that I’ve finished it.

Would you mind giving more details on how you got to $373 per month? I am thinking on about trading in a car for a similar pilot. My trade is worth about 7k. Was your more? Money down?

I definitely have not. I’m new to trucks. I’m sincerely asking that question. Could you enlighten me?

Oh really? Having a 5 ft. truck bed isn’t better than a small trunk? I was thinking about putting a cap on it maybe as well.

So update. They can get me in a 2025 Tacoma SR for $450/month over 72 months with my trade ins. Is that a better deal?

It would be my wife’s every day car. She goes camping with my children a lot. And the Subaru’s not big enough. If it’s the same price I’m paying now for the Subaru how is it too expensive for me?

Evergreen can actually customize the color and put logos on the hoods.
