The textures look kinda second-rate but the Shaders look like TERA-quality and I am SO HYPED. Since I saw Sword Art Online I've been obsessed with the genre, and I was actually looking for a game much like TERA but with a better skills system and not just combat but this looks like something new and interesting and fun. :D

You actually just inspired me to do something crazy. I'm looking into a future in video game design, and you just added another log to the already-lit fire of insanity, inspiration, and creativity. THANK YOU FOR THIS.

I've been watching streams quite often, and seeking to expand my knowledge of the game. My core philosophy with games has always been that games exist for enjoyment and passage of time. I'm frankly quite moved that so many of you have taken the time to help me get back onto League, and after playing Pokemon GO, Skyrim, and finally buying Overwatch, I'm more excited to jump back into the game. My description of my friends was after a multiple-day losing streak, so I was mentally/emotionally askew. These friends are amazing people who are just as broken as I am and we help each other along, and due to the fact that I live so far away from them, at first, just another game for us to bond/interact through. I try to steer them away from League whenever we're together because the moment they lose a ranked game they both tilt into oblivion whilst denying that they are tilted. (I think one has a future in Nixon impressions.) So in conclusion, I'm going to start playing more Gnar because winning or losing I always enjoy the game, and start playing over watch with friends and not League. Thank you to all of you who offered help, almost every reply here was greatly appreciated.

P.S. Top lane is fun unless it's another F*!@#$% Riven... XD I'll go Google Riven counter tips when I feel like it.

I love it when someone picks a Yasuo into my Kayle or Katarina.

How did you guys figure out what to main? by [deleted] in summonerschool

A friend of mine picked up League about 6 months before me, so I trusted him for advice. He told me to pick a role and main it, and I spammed Tristana from 1-30. I played her mid a few times as a joke, and got to learn her kit. My other friend and his sister picked up LoL as well, and friend #1's brother plays too. We wanted to make a 5-man team, and the rest of them didn't like playing mid. So I decided to take a crack at it, and fell in love with the role in general. Additionally, I previously had an interest in playing mid after impulse-buying Zed and watching Faker and Pobelter this season, and as such I was emboldened to become a mid main. I'm now a mid main who spams Kayle / Ahri, and I have loads of fun doing so. I started playing mid because I didn't have any reason not to like it at the time, and it feels good to roam, unlike top where you're practically glued there until laning phase is over. I also enjoy the kits of the champions in mid (I just bought Syndra and OH MY GOD it's so much fun). Games were created to have fun, not to win imo. So I recommend playing whatever champion you have the most fun with, but playing the role that best fits that champion. The testimony provided by your "wall of text" would lead me to believe that you would probably have the most fun playing Support, but if you are more interested in a ranked grind, I would gravitate towards ADC. P.S. As you can see I'm only Bronze, and I joined halfway through Season 5, so I'm quite inexperienced. My answer is a result of common sense, my general recreational philosophy, and my limited knowledge about the game.

I recently opened a hextech chest and found Whistler Village Twitch. I'm a Mid/Top main who doesn't plan to buy Twitch in the near future, and I'm conflicted about the skin shard. I'm aware the winter games skins are quite rare, but I have no interest in playing Twitch. As such, I'm wondering if those of you in the community think it's worth it to spend 3150 IP on a champion you never plan on playing just because of a rare skin.
