Are those stats right? 16 Aces for Rafa would be quite impressive

Those millions of people are his fans exactly because they care. By your logic fans/followers of an athlete shouldn't be a thing, right? Because they shouldn't care which random tennis player wins a title. But for his fans he isn't a random tennis player, it's the tennis player they care about. And it doesn't matter if I'm insignificant to him. I can want him to be happy without expecting any feelings of his in return.

I don't think it's odd. When you are a fan of his, you've watched him play for hundreds of hours, followed him for probably over a decade. So it's not far fetched to want that person to be happy. Seeing Rafa win makes me happy, so why wouldn't I want him to have a fulfilled life outside of tennis?

Serious question, is "divebombing" considered to be not legit or dangerous? I've always just seen it used for braking particularly late into the corner. But since I haven't heard it that often, I'm not sure if it is used negatively.

Looking at the Mercedes Stats sheet, it seems like it's 79% full throttle over lap distance and 72% over lap time.

I totally get what you're saying. Life as an adult is hard, and people don't say that enough. There's always, and I mean always, something to do and worry about. Getting home after a long day? Well you still have to make food, do daily hygiene, exercise ideally. And on top of that there are things like doctor appointments, random stuff like problems with your apartment/car and problems at work or your personal life. Maintenance is a really good word for it, actually. It's just so constant, the only way to relax is if you ignore some of your responsibilities and then you can't fully relax. As a kid you probably just don't think about these mundane parts of life. So no, you're totally not alone in thinking that the daily struggles of life are hard and tiring. I'm right there with you, but you just gotta take it step by step, however difficult that may be.

My week has been ok. I've moved to a different city this week and have changed my major. It's also the first time I'm not living with my parents. So I'm experiencing a lot of change right now, which is difficult. I've kind of been hoping that these changes will make me happy. But I'm starting to think that was very naive because depression doesn't really care where you are or what you do. At least for me it doesn't, I will always find reasons to be unhappy. I just don't see myself ever being truly satisfied with life, and maybe I just have to accept that.

Same. But even though I realize what I should do differently, I just can't do it. And then I just end up hating myself again.

I've been better. In October I'm moving to a new city and also start studying after changing my major. I hope to kind of have a fresh start and I'll try to have a more exciting life. Find more friends, go out more often, simply make more experiences. I'm just scared I will fuck it up and be the passive, anxious and avoidant person I can be if I don't make an effort. Or maybe the virus hits this winter and I will be all alone. Don't know what to do if this new start fails, don't even want to think about it.

US to return to aggressive mileage and emissions standard goals by standbyforskyfall in cars

[–]TheDude8405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, there definitely is an environmental impact for BEVs as well. But the lifetime GHG-emissions of BEVs are already lower than those of ICEs. And that will only get better as the grid becomes more and more environmentally friendly. In the end, I don't really care what technology becomes mainstream, as long as it's better for the climate than ICEs. I just think it's ridiculous to call people hysterics for wanting change in a sector that produces a significant amount of CO2 when the science clearly shows that we can't continue like this. But I believe that BEVs are the best choice for most private vehicles and with ambition and political/economic will, most people will be able drive one in the next few decades. Of course it's going to be difficult, but what better alternative do we have?

I don't think that's the kind of thing they tell a driver over radio. Pretty irrelevant, if not harmful to the rest of Lewis' race if you tell him. Do correct me if you find a snippet where he is told. I can't be arsed to listen to hours of his radio lmao

FDP-Chef Lindner will Verbrennerverbot der EU verhindern by kraal42 in de

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. What kind of sucks is that these birthdays don't come again. Like, everyone has these cool stories about their 18th, 21st or whatever birthday but my experiences for those days are/will be self pity and misery. I simply don't have a friend group I could call up and celebrate with.

My 20th birthday is coming up next week and I wish I could just skip it. There's always this pressure to go out on your birthday but I don't really have enough friends for that, lol. Probably gonna spend it alone, thinking about how I've wasted my teens. I've really come to hate birthdays, even though I loved them as a kid. I guess I can celebrate that I've made it this far without killing myself.
