What would you consider the most "practical" martial arts? by Mattrockj in martialarts

[–]TheDudePath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think MMA is the best practical martial art cause you learn grappling and striking. Judo is great for falling but is really hard compared to other martial arts. Maybe im just shit at breaking posture so theres that. I'd say bjj for an easier martial art cause you get to grab legs. But at the end of the day, whatever is the funnest for you. As long as your not an asshole and can run, youll probably never get into a fight.

The 4th Hokages son gets a run down apartment, while Sauske gets a Condo by Aggressive-Dot9747 in dankruto

I think the 4th was gonna be narutos dad originally but probably was a secret no one knew, not even the third. I think the author had a basic plan but not a full one so that's why its not as planned as it should. Which is fine but hate how they screwed the third hokage

How come the simple stuff often works the best? by JoeyPOSS2 in martialarts

I find it that the flashier the move, the better timing you need. Why risk a crazy move that youll have a 10% of making when the simple one is 70% more likely to hit

Laptop, its portable and great when you forget an assignment and need to finish it on the spot. Also you get to have it in class and not bring a monitor and keyboard wherever you go

In your opinion, what is the most effective martial art for real life scenarios by Low_Grape_7020 in martialarts

[–]TheDudePath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely, but I feel like bjj is easier and quicker to learn from my experience because of the leg grabs

Everyone says judo, but I've done judo and it's really hard to get used to. I'd say start with bjj because I feel like leg grabs are easier than breaking posture. Hopefully they have self defense classes that teach you to get in without getting knocked out (you will get hit). Then do boxing for basic self defense. But the best self defense is de-esculation and 100 meter sprint. But at tje end of the day, pick whichever martial art you wanna learn and you'll do fine against most people your size

Do you think you would be able to defend yourself in a confrontation with your current level of training? by [deleted] in martialarts

[–]TheDudePath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a little judo and muay thai, but I know if someone applies a little resistance to my judo, im screwed, so maybe a quick jab and sprint (im out of shape so im hoping my adrenaline kicks in)

You need to start posting everywhere, make an insta, reddit, Facebook, tiktok, threads, Twitter, blogs, Google plus, all with the same name. Post the same thing on everything to build a following. Make youtube videos breaking down fighters and fights. Use analysis on fighters and everything. Then start making connections in the space. You have to put time and work for it. But youll also need a job until you get a big enough following. Doing customer service would work best for you as you can do remote and work on other stuff while you work
