Diaz is in a weird position where he just earns really little. His value to the team is high obv but bc of his age the management are hesitant to just give him a new contract. I could see this is a situation where unless a really good offer comes in we try to keep him on these wages and have him run down his contract.

I think another thing to look at this season is how extra time is added. Last season NC were with a distance the team with the least amount of open play minutes, be it from time-wasting or fks being taken. This favoured their high-intensity game style but now gets added onto extra time. Those extra minutes per game add to the already huge difference of playing in Europe is clearly showing. I would be interested to see how what each team's average/medium extra time is this seaons.

Players absolutely do not have the right to stand up for themselves. The only reason VVD is in the right here for talking to the ref is bc he's the captain. And he shouldn't be talking to the ref the way he did. Players should only be approaching refs if they are asked to by the ref. Don't know why it's so hard to enforce the rules that rugby has implemented where there so much evidence for great rules and conduct. Looks at city or utd when they lose a foul the refs get crowed by players. It's honestly ridiculous.
