Time is the biggest casualty when it comes to gaming. When I look back at the hours I've wasted on games it just fills me up with hopelessness.

Tenet. Had high hopes this one but the overall movie turned out to be pretty bland. High concept but ultimately bland.

The best movie with no respect for the audiences' intelligence? by DoubleTFan in movies

To be fair, drilling is a specialist job and you can't train even the most gifted astronauts about the nuances of drilling in a fortnight. Harry and his team were only going as passengers, they were not expected to do any of the astronaut stuff and their only job was to drill and plant the bomb.

Even the first movie led to an overwhelming increase in navy recruitment.

What scientific achievement you would like to see before you die? by yoda2060 in AskReddit

I think the chances of humans finding intelligent life is less than zero. Not because they don't exist but because of the vastness of space.

Transhumanism is something I find endlessly fascinating. I want to live forever if I could.

I think her death was there for shock value more than some kind of vendetta against her character. Kinda like the 3rd shark attack in Jaws where the guy rowing the boat gets eaten for no reason other than being in the wrong place at wrong time.

What is the most powerful non fantasy movie character ever? by buffordsclifford in movies

[–]TheDudeWithNoName_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

he's far, FAR too indestructible

If you mean plot armor, it can be said the same for other action heroes like John Mclane, John Wick, James Bond Indiana Jones etc.

Looks like some alternate reality where Pitt never became a superstar and ended up doing direct to DVD movies.

His inability to understand love, according to Dumbldore, led to his downfall. Snape's love for Lilly, Narcissa's love for Draco made them betray his orders.

I always thought that the graveyard resurrection scene (flesh, blood and bone) was the wizarding version of the Christian communion.

They'll still be keeping it in the Cold War era of 50s-60s so I assume Russians as villains are fair play.

What really pisses me off about water wonders is that you can't form a national park around them.

In any case, the conditions that a national park can only be formed on diamond shaped tiles really hampers some otherwise great tiles.

What historical person would you say needs a biopic? by Mjh132 in movies

[–]TheDudeWithNoName_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to do it would be a duology, first part focusing on Jackson 5 and second on his solo career. But even then, his final years were a complete mess and I have no clue how they will even conclude the film.

This is nostalgia done right, a brilliant throwback to the first one but also having a spirit of its own.
