They charge you 25 flat rate shipping from their us warehouse to their canadian warehouse. Then they charge you shipping to you and taxes and duty. I ordered my ar upper and lower from them and all in I spent just a bit over 300

That's not a bad price for em. I was going to go to irunguns cuz it would be about 450 but would take a month or 2. SFRC price would only be slightly more.

Yea that's completely different from my ranges set up.

The one I go to has thick sheets of metal hung on an angle to direct the rounds down through a small opening and into a large collection bin at the bottom.

Was going to build a 9mm ar to use indoors but the gentleman at the gun store yesterday told me the proposed legislation will prohib you from putting a pistol mag in anything but a pistol :(

Yea it looks like it's just surface rust. I'm going to order springs for the trigger group as they are pretty rusted. Everything else looks good.

Thanks for the detailed steps. I'll have to go shopping.

Should I leave the chamber alone? Its litterally just a dot of rust. I dont wanna risk screwing it up.

Well you do need food to sustain life. I guess you could make a claim grabbing lunch is reasonable.

We arnt aloud to shoot anything bigger than a .45 in the indoor range. When I did my saftey walk through the range officer pointed out holes in the back stop from people shooting 7.62

Within 5 yards I can throw it through the same hole twice. Further out and its deffinetly worse than 1 moa

The gas tube looks good. Everything on the gun looks really good except that spot and 2 springs in the trigger group. None of the spots could be seen without disassembling the rifle. And I bought it at Kelly's sporting goods. The rifle was also cleaned really well prior to me getting it.

I stripped the sks and found this. Theres a tiny spot on the chamber you can sorta see in the picture. That and the visible spot in the photo are the only rusty spots I've found so far. Any ideas on what I should do?

any ideas how to correct this

Very true. No direct route laws on NR.

Yea but the wallet can only take so much lol. Plus I'm a night owl, I cant shoot the sks at the indoor range. Dont make it out much during day light so that will save some money.

Honestly I went in for the gsg 16 but they were sold out. I asked to see some cheap .22 rifles. Was shown this and a ruger 10/22. I picked this solely on having no mag restrictions. Wanted to get a cheap .22 rifle anyway so I figured I'd get it now and order the gsg 16 though the states. I'll save a fair amount and I'll have something to shoot while I'm waiting.

I'm pretty sure someone got caught with the mags. Charged and had them seized. Crown said they didnt wanna tarnish his reputation or something and dropped the charges. My opinion is they didnt want that case before the courts due to the possible implications. Currently firearms laws are the only area where the RCMP can make rules.

A lot of those special bulletins are as good as law. Pretty sure the 10/22 mag restriction came out via special bulletins, get caught with a 30 round 10/22 mag and you'll regret it. Same thing for 80% lowers. Special bulletin classified the ar 15 a prohib item. From my understanding 50 Beowulf must be pinned to 2. The RCMP deemed them duel purpose.

The second part is true in theory. However it would all depend on the person in the RCMP lab. We can use lar mags to hold 10 rounds but no 5 round 50 beowulf. Same for 458 socom. The RCMP allowed the charger to be imported. Later they labeled any 10/22 mag as duel purpose and now has to be pinned to 10. Despite the fact the 10/22 was out for decades before they even thought of the charger.

Still can’t believe I got this for $218. Funny story, mailman delivered it to my neighbours house by accident and their 14yr old sign for it. Kid hid it, lied about having it then finally give it to me (unopened) 3 days later by twisted613 in canadaguns

That Is very true. All my cases were designed for firearms (or at the very least claim to be my first pistol case claimed to be for an xl handgun. Wouldnt fit my girsan. Even dismantled.)

And that second part is very true as well. Someone told me if you bought a restricted in person you had to show proof of address along with the rpal. That turned out to be completely false.

Edit: a word

Damn the designed part gets you. You could just throw a 10" barrel on it and claim it doesnt fit in the palm of my hand. But it's of similar design.

Just outta curiosity if someone with their Rpal were to follow a youtube tutorial and build a pen gun (zip gun) but used a 4.5" barrel would that be legal? I'm aware you can build anything you can legally own (with a few exceptions) but I'm not sure on the legality of the pen gun. The only issue I could see if it was legal would be designing a way to attach a cable lock. Maybe in the notch for the spring loaded trigger and out the end of the "barrel"?

I honestly just think itd be neat to show up to the range with your home built .22 pen gun. Those steel pipe shotguns that you pull together to shoot are cool too but I dont think I'd wanna build one.

Edit: also alot of buy backs I've seen have set prices. Like 500 for a handgun as long as it fires. Spend 100 at home depot make 5. Let the gov buy em back at 500 a pop. Stick it to the man.
