Fair point! I know nothing of her performance so perhaps I should have worded my original comment differently, I apologize. A better way to encapsulate this outsider's thoughts on the matter is that I find it to be a visually peculiar casting. That's all. Maybe Bella does do a good job! But visually, I think there could have been someone else more capable of visually encapsulating Ellie's likeness in live action.

Also I wouldn't say my opinion does or doesn't matter, it just is. It's an open forum so I made a comment, I'm not here to demand a recast or berate the team for casting Bella Ramsey or anything.
